“Good Hotel”
Hotel is clean. Older building needs some repairs. Staff all friendly & helpful with area directions, etc.
“Good for a couple day's stay”
This hotel was good and served its purpose well. My wife and I stayed here to visit family over Christmas time and the hotel was very quiet and not too far off the main path of downtown Thunderbay. The staff was very polite and the free continental breakfast was more like a good size breakfast buffet. Overall, when we go back I would be staying here again.

room was clean, front desk very helpful, bed was comfy only disapointment was there was no in room internet for those of us who don't have a laptop

“High Quality Staff in a Older Hotel”
I put a lot of focus on customer service, and have stayed at many Travelodge locations over the years. From the check in to cleaning staff to the young gentleman mopping the floors, I was impressed with the friendliness, easy smiles and great directions to local "must-sees". The hotel itself is in need of updating, the elevator squealed, the tv reception was not the greatest, the location was just right - but all of that can be easily overlooked when you have people who enjoy their jobs and make your stay feel like spending the night in a friend's spare room. I will stay at this hotel again... but will request a different room! This one overlooked the pretty blank wall of the rest of the hotel. And sky. And air conditioning units. :)
“Frequent Visitor”
We chose to stay at this hotel because the location is very convenient to shopping, the visiting of a relative. We have from time to time had to bring deficiencies to the attention of the staff but they were quickly corrected and to our satisfaction. We note every time we go there have been some renovations and improvements to the rooms (the hotel was getting a little run down). We stay here mostly because of the location, the pleasant staff and the fact that a continental breakfast is served every morning. Never have to look around at the start of our day. We will continue to stay at this hotel because we feel we have been well served and get value for our money.
“So middle of the road”
This hotel is the definition of mediocre. It's not uncomfortable, but it wasn't incredibly enjoyable either. The room was very small and old. There were water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom, the TV was old and fuzzy, the walls were worn, and despite having a non-smoking room, it smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke. Actually, the whole hotel did. It was like they hadn't done anything but necessary general maintenance to the place since 1970. The staff was nice, the pool was okay, the breakfast was okay; just everything about the hotel was so mediocre it's hard to comment on anything but the fact that everything was medicre. It was a room for a weekend, that's it. I haven't stayed in any other TB hotels, but there's got to be some place better.
“DISAPPOINTED!”
Sorry to say it was not pleasant. The room was cold and damp. The bathroom floor and baseboards were not clean. I will not stay there again.
“filthy”
This hotel was so filthy and smelly that we left after 2nights, even though we had paid for 4. We have travelled all over Canada, and never experienced anything like this. Stained carpet, cob webs in the breakfast room, garbage on the pool area deck that wasn't cleaned up for the 2 days we were there, musty rooms, mouldy bathroom. Do NOT stay here.
“You get what you pay for!”
The cleanliness and condition of rooms was a little less than I would expect. It needs a lot of renovations to make it a little more worthy. It was a little more run down than I would have liked, but I guess for the price, you get what you pay for.
