Perfect spot for a ski weekend
This cabin is conveniently located, but also peaceful and private. My husband and I brought our college age daughter here for spring break, and were able to ski both Palisades and Alpine Meadows, which are each about a 15 minute drive away from the rental home. There were also plenty of cute restaurants and a large Safeway within a short drive. The home itself has a wonderful living area, fully stocked kitchen, and very comfortable beds. The steam shower and the outside hot tub were added bonuses that we enjoyed very much. The host were very flexible and even allowed us to modify our dates when we realized we had an unexpected conflict.

Poor cleanliness, beds uncomfortable
Very disappointed! The carpet and rugs need to be cleaned, very dirty! Especially red rug in living room. The pillows, linens and blankets had a horrible smell. Bathroom was dirty! The sofa bed thin and can feel springs/rods. Overall cleanliness and comfort of entire cabin was poor. Fireplace could not be used as ventilation was poor. I would not recommend this cabin. The area/community was vey nice.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience. I wish you would have let us know when you checked in or during your stay, so we could have helped you with some of your concerns. This is the first we're hearing of this. The guests prior to your stay left us a 5 start review with quite a different experience. This is their review: "Knocked it out of the park. Knocked it out of the park. Perfect Location
This is in a quiet, friendly, neighborhood in the middle of all Lake Tahoe has to offer. Very comfortable, had all we needed and easy access. The steam shower was wonderful after a day skiing! Great restaurants are within 1 mile of the home and Tahoe city close by. Loved our visit!

Perfect cabin
This cute little cabin was perfect for my son and I to enjoy a one on one bonding weekend with skiing in Palisades (only 20 min away). The hot tub was great to relax after a day of skiing, and proximity to the lake and restaurants was appreciated. Easy check in and communication. Would love to return!

Excellent Home!
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday staying at this very cozy and clean cabin! Extremely convenient location in a great neighborhood next to Palisades/Alpine and town. It was a perfect home for our family of four! We enjoyed the fireplace every night and the hot tub! Great amenities! We will definitely be back again!

Summer Vacation
This is our second time at the cabin. It's clean and a convenient, and quiet location. We especially loved hanging out on the deck under the trees. The hosts were easy to communicate with and always helpful. Highly recommend.

We had the best time relaxing on the deck and taking in all the Tahoe activities. The park access was so fun for our family and just a quick walk down the road. The home was perfect and the kitchen was stocked with everything. We can't wait to come back next year. A great find!

Favorite Spot in Sunnyside!
I almost don't want to share, because this place is so great! Location is perfect, amenities are exceptional and ambiance is spot on. Clean, well stocked, and owner is very flexible. A must stay in West Shore.

Cozy log cabin near premier skiing
We had an unforgettable time celebrating my 30th birthday. The property was well equipped including kitchen supplies, toiletries, and blankets. The king bed was comfortable and the shower heads were powerful. We loved the wood burning fireplace. The hot tub was in perfect working order, ideal for a day spent skiing! The property was less than 20 min drive to Palisades. Nancy was an amazing host, and we would definitely stay here again!

Good Experience
We enjoyed our stay. The rental was clean and accurate to the listing. Checking in and out was easy. The hot tub is great with a nice view looking up at the tall trees and the stars.

Wonderfully comfortable and cozy cabin for our Tahoe stay. The location is not far from Tahoe City shops, dining, and the slopes. Walking distance to the lake and soaking in the hot tub after a day of skiing were super nice bonuses.

Great little cozy cabin
We had a great stay here. The cabin is very cute and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all utensils needed. The cabin is also in a great location close to town and markets. There is a bike path nearby but we did not use it as there was some snow. We hiked the part of the rim trail which was also close by. The cabin is updated and the beds were comfy too. You may need to bring your own oils and spices if you are going to cook like salt and pepper etc they did have empty containers in the cupboard which shows maybe normally there be some but maybe just an oversight from last guests who didn’t replace or inform the owner. Thanks again we loved the fire place and the proximity to amenities. Would highly recommend this cabin for small families.

Great Couple's Getaway
The cabin has everything you might want or need for a relaxing time at Lake Tahoe. The living room is very comfy, and the kitchen has been updated with modern appliances and cooking utensils. All in all, a first-class experience. Host Nancy was very responsive to our questions, but at the same time, quite respectful of our privacy. We have no reservations about recommending this cabin to others.

An oasis in the middle of the forest
The minute we arrived we felt relaxed and comfortable. The quiet we experienced during our stay was remarkable; just the chirps of birds and squirrels. The towering trees surrounding the property made you feel you were being protected by sentries. The decor was tasteful and understated and we had everything we could possibly need to feel at home. It was also very clean. We particularly appreciated the fact that the cupboards and fridge had some staples in them. The host was extremely prompt to reply to any question we had and was very accommodating We will definitely be going back! Thank you for sharing your special place with us.

Great cozy cabin!
This is a great cozy cabin with every thing you need! Quiet street too. The Tahoe Park Beach Access is amazing. It’s so pretty and manicured. Great bathrooms and pretty beach. The cabin is too far to walk in my opinion and it’s up hill on the way back. Be sure to bring your own beach chairs. There are places to park and so it’s not a big deal to drive to it. Nice place!

Peaceful stay
This is a great place to stay in Sunnyside area! It’s a quaint cabin- nicely renovated and perfect for a small family. The front yard and hot tub area was wonderful to use and we enjoyed our stay very much. We especially appreciated how quiet and peaceful the area was. Nancy was a pleasure to rent from.

Nancy's cabin was the perfect property for a weekend getaway in the mountains. The amenities are exactly as described, and the home has been well taken care of. Wonderful cabin and host
My Family and I stayed at this wonderful cabin for nine nights. The cabin is in a great location, very close to Tahoe city, and just a short drive to Alpine Meadows and Olympic Valley. The cabin itself was clean and updated, with a great kitchen for cooking, comfortable beds, and immaculate bathroom. Nancy, the host, was very responsive to all of our inquiries before and during our trip. We will definitely stay again.

Great cozy log cabin close to the lake
Communication with the manager was stellar. Nancy gave us lots of recommendations on things to do with young kids. The house was perfectly sized for us, and the kitchen was well stocked. The granite counter tops and slate floors made the place feel luxurious. We didn't end up using the hot tub, but it is a nice amenity that is available. Walking distance to great restaurants and to the lake. I highly recommend for a small family or a couple who want a cozy getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Nancy’s cabin. We didn’t know in advance that renters also have access to a private beach that is 1/2 mi from the cabin. Fully equipped kitchen, grill, outdoor table and chairs on the deck, and the hot tub. Quiet community with lots of large trees. Near town. Highly recommend.

Tahoe West Shore Gem!
This little cabin is an absolute gem! It's conveniently located in Tahoe's West Shore neighborhood near Sunnyside Inn & Restaurant. Small but nicely renovated/updated, super clean, and perfect for 2 couples or a family of 3-4. The outdoor yard has a lovely deck with a couple of lounge chairs, an outdoor dining table which seats 4, a grill, and a hot tub that is clean and well maintained. Total bonus in the warm months - the property has access to the private Tahoe Park Beach Association, a walking-distance, gated section of beachfront with bathrooms, grassy beachfront park, grills which can be reserved, a playground, bocce ball courts and a sand volleyball court, as well as pristine beachfront access with a couple of docks. The rental is conveniently located near the West Shore Market, which has to-go coffee/pastries and a sandwich bar plus a well-curated assortment of staples for a short stay. It is also near the West Shore Sports shop with reasonably priced SUP, kayak, and bike rentals. In addition to Sunnyside lakefront restaurant, there are a couple other small restaurants in the neighborhood - Spoon and Fireside Cafe - both delicious. A perfect Tahoe cabin in both the winter and summer.

Great place!!
The property was just as advertised. It was clean and well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, dishes, etc. All of the appliances were in working order, and the bunk beds were a hit with my kids. The location was perfect. It's a short drive/ride to Tahoe City, but far enough out to be peaceful. I loved that I could walk down the hill and rent a bicycle, kayak or SUP. The deck is a wonderful place to sit and read, and my kids loved their evening walks to the West Shore Market for gelato, followed by skipping rocks at the lake. This area is a nature lover's dream. There was so much to do, and we were only a short drive from everything by staying at this location. I've used VRBO a lot, and it was refreshing to stay somewhere that felt like an actual home. We will definitely stay here if we travel to the area again.
