Inner City. Close to Attractions and Transport.Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Staff are very friendly and efficient.
Cons: The air-conditioning seemed to default to 21.5 degrees despite attempts at being set higher. The mattress on the bed felt rather old and worn.
Location: Great Location. Town Hall Train Station a matter of minute away. Darling Harbour a mere 10 minute walk away.
The staff from check out throughout my stay were warm, friendly and helpful. But it wasn't quite the 5 star experience I was expecting, but perhaps I'm a bit picky. I stayed from Friday to Monday and found the corridors on Saturday and Sunday nights a bit noisy, quite possibly due to the over indulgence of alcohol by some hotel guests. Loud chatter and yelling, slamming of doors. Not the hotels fault really. Then the day I checked out the people in the room next to me were having an almighty screaming argument. It felt more like an apartment block in a lower socio-economic area rather then a 5 star hotel. Once again, not the hotels fault really.

Good quality hotelPosted 20-Aug-2014
Just stayed one night on a stopover when flying from Australia to Singapore. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. We were disappointed at the price of wi fi which was disproportionately expensive.

Not so Hilton experiencePosted 19-Aug-2014
Cons: Make sure the rooms don't have mold in them - this is not a 5 star hotel.
Location: Good location
We checked in, room wasn't ready. I asked to pay for the Executive Club facilities, which we purchased for the first night, did get upgraded. The room was small, shower had mold in it, chipped tiles. I asked to have the mini bar taken away prior to check in - I had to ask another 4 times. One night there was a women screaming and swearing, I had to call security - I have never had to do this. I would never stay at they Hilton again. We always stay at the Intercontinental and now I know why we pay that bit extra.

Very good hotel - Reasonable Value for MoneyPosted 12-Aug-2014
Location: Great location in the heart of Sydney
Hotel was very good, room was excellent and staff very helpful and friendly - - the down side and it's a first world problem, this is the only 5 Star hotel we've stayed in anywhere in the world where our bags weren't taken up to our room. Still it was an overall pleasant experience.

Pros: Convenient, nice rooms, staff helpful
Cons: Reception area is freezing and the Reception Desk is not fast enough to deal with the volume of people waiting
Location: Greta shopping
Our Room was not ready and delayed by over 90mins of which we were not informed about on arrival - annoying since we had a function to attend. I had to stand in a queue on 3 occasions to find out the room was still not ready, they should have an sms update feature so you don't have to stand around waiting in the cold. The Reception Desk needs more attendants and should be spilt into check-in and check-out
