"We spent 3 nights at Howie’s Retreat. He is a marvellous host. Warm, welcoming and personable. The unit itself is spacious, comfortable and clean. There is not a single thing that Howie has not provided for your comfort. If it isn’t there, you don’t need it. If anything isn’t right, he will go out of his way to fix it in a timely manner. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor is lovely too. A real home away from home. A perfect little nest for when you are not out exploring the area. Great...

"Spotlessly clean and well decorated home in Parksville. Would be great in the summer as it’s within walking to the city beach but on a side street, away from the summer traffic. Good local restaurants are nearby along with three grocery stores in case you want to take advantage of the full kitchen in the unit. Doris and Rick were welcoming hosts and I had zero issues during my stay. The pictures are exactly what you get. I’ll definitely be booking again when I need a place to stay in Parksville."

"This is a lovely little space in a great location. Although the rooms are technically below grade, the windows are very large and allow lots of light to enter. The space is very clean and well appointed. The towels and bedroom linens are of lovely quality. 10/10 would stay here again."

"Property was great, we had a bit of challenge with the restavio app to check in and get our check instructions. We got hold of customer service and property manager who assisted us gettint in. "

"The location was convenient to dining, shopping and the steam clock! Hearing the faint chums at night while awake was Charming. The beds are Very comfortable. Having a washer and dryer in unit helped keep us comfortable after walks in the rain. The underground parking helped however be warned the space is really for a small car. Our Ford Edge mini SUV was hard To park."

"We had a lovely stay. The place was clean, spacious and the host communicated amazingly. The only drawback was the parking stall was very tight and we were driving a large vehicle. Had we known it was a small stall, we would have driven a smaller car. "
