Built in 1833, this smoke-free hotel is in the center of Stowe Village five miles from Stowe Mountain Resort. A shuttle provides complimentary transportation from the hotel to the ski slopes.

A free public shuttle provides easy access to nearby ski slopes. Stowe Village features the East Coast's largest cross-country ski touring village and the 5.7-mile Stowe Recreation Path, a paved trail for rollerblading, biking, and jogging. Ski lessons and equipment rentals available nearby. Other local recreational activities include dogsled tours, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and horse-drawn sleigh and carriage rides.

“The best hotel”
It was very clean, the staff was great!!! Also we thought it was certainly one of the nicest hotels in the area! We will be going back soon and enjoyed everything about out stay. The resturant is fantastic as well!

“Best place in Stowe”
Loved the Green Mountain Inn. This was our second visit in 2011 ... the first being in 2002. The staff are very friendly, the resort is beautiful and extremely well kept and clean. I particularly love the outdoor pool which is opened all year round. The breakfast is good and in a beautiful room. I did not try the restaurant for lunch or dinner however. My resort of choice when in Stowe and surroundings.
“An excellent place to relax. The hotel was beautiful!”
My husband and I decided to take a short trip up to Vermont for a small vacation. We were so delighted when we arrived in Stowe and saw how gorgeous the inn was. The front desk staff were so helpful. Our room was beautiful and clean. The grounds of the hotel were also exceptional too. I went and had a massage one morning and the massage room off of the gym area was so relaxing and peaceful. This inn was by far the nicest one we have ever stayed in.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. Very well located, very clean. I recommend the restaurant. To sum up, I highly recommand this hotel
“A Gem in the Mountains”
Over 150 years old and charming as can be! The rooms are large and extremely comfortable. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay A++. US Air lost our luggage for 2 1/2 days. In efforts to locate our luggage, we used up our cell phone batteries. The staff, trying to help us in every way possible, pulled out a box of chargers left past guest had left behind and Voila... we were back in business.Green Mountain Inn is a true gem in Stowe. Don't miss staying there!

Hotel was everything we had hoped for - heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, massage, convenient, quaint, easy to get around in. They were very helpful in getting you whatever you needed - information, towels, tea, even a fridge that wasn't in the room. Clean comfortable and relaxing. One small suggestion - provide disposable paper or washable rubber sandals for the jacuzzi/sauna area.

“beautiful”
This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, i cant recomment it enough and would definately go back again. It has everything, old world charm with modern day conveniences. The food was great and the staff were really friendly, what more could anyone ask for!!
