Great for family getaway
We have been coming to Sitka for 20 plus years and have stayed at lodges in the past. This is the first year we've stayed in a private home rental. We were very pleased with the experience. The house was wonderful. Comfortable large bedrooms, a large living-dining area with a spectacular view of Sitka Sound. Our grandson stayed with his grandmother while the rest of the adults went fishing each day. He loved sitting in the window watching the boats, airplanes, buses and people go by the house all day. It was close enough to walk to town, so it wasn't necessary to rent a car. We would definitely love to stay at this home again on future trips.

Great location.
We spent almost every minute that we were at the house watching the water, eagles, and sometimes the tourists walk by. The view and access to the water is fantastic.

Exceptional stay
What a gem of a property! The house was perfectly located walking distance to town and beach walks. The view is gorgeous and the house was spacious and clean. We used the fully stocked kitchen every night and if we had an extra evening would have had a bonfire at the fire pit. Thank you Ocean Vista. See you next summer.
