Perfect spot for your stay in Santa Barbara!
Wonderful spot! The cottage is very spacious, beautiful and well appointed. Everything you need, and more. The hosts are wonderful; had brownies waiting for us and wine in the fridge. We felt like we were in a fancy resort! We highly recommend this 'cottage' for your stay in Santa Barbara!

Heavenly Cottage
Santa Barbara offers great hiking and beaching and a perfect home-base for exploring places like Montecito, Ojai and Simi Valley. This scenic and peaceful cottage in the foothills is close to La Cumbre Plaza and all that Santa Barbara offers. We enjoyed coffee in the morning in the beautiful sunroom while watching the birds, and then returning to the well-appointed cottage to make dinner in the full kitchen and/or grill on the patio. The beds and bedrooms were perfect, and privacy was no issue at all. This experience was a 10 out of 10 with no problems at all.

Lovely house with a view
We spent 4 nights in the very comfortable cottage. Our hosts were extremely helpful and communicative. The house was well-supplied, clean and quiet. Also, the views were amazing, both distant to the ocean and nearby to the birds at the feeder. We would love to stay here again.

Perfectly appointed
We had everything we could ask for in a place to stay. So much thought and attention to detail went into designing and decorating this lovely cottage. It was so easy to take care of while providing us with all the room and amenities to dine in, enjoy the beautiful sunshine on the patio, and even to watch satellites launch into space. We highly recommend this property without any hesitancy.

4 adults stayed 5 nights. The home was sparkling clean and well appointed. The cabinet had basic spices and oils. The refrig also had some basic necessities. The views were amazing...loved the sunroom! I will definitely check availability on our next Santa Barbara trip. The location was easy to find and perfect for our outings. Thank you, Tom. Beautiful guest house in Santa Barbara
The guest house is wonderful! Very comfortable and has everything you might need. The view is incredible and it’s a short drive to shopping. Great place to unwind and relax. Highly recommend!

Amazing property and hosts
We stayed here for about a month while my wife was recovering from surgery in Santa Barbara. The property is amazing and has everyone one could want especially an amazing sun room with views of the Pacific ocean and sunset, laundry, A/C, and a really sweet nook to work out of with a nice office chair and wired ethernet. The location was perfect, about 15 minutes from anything you could want to get to - restaurants, attractions, groceries, etc. The neighborhood was fun to walk in with amazing views and a good hill climbing workout! The hosts were awesome. They live next door, and provided their cell phone numbers, and were amazingly kind, responsive, and accommodating. We've stayed at VRBO/AirBnbs in the US and abroad, and this was the best property we've ever stayed at, and we'd come back in heartbeat.

Very comfortable & convenient
Two couples in for a long weekend to enjoy the city, the beach, and the local mountains. Easy commutes by auto to all locales. Clean, very comfortable, and enjoyed evenings back at cottage for evening meals and indoor or outdoor rest & relaxation. We received prompt response from owners to few needs. Highly recommend & will consider returning.

Wonderful accommodations exactly as advertised. Spent five nights there with my three sisters and enjoyed every second. Beautiful sunsets, hot tub, swimming pool, wonderfully comfortable beds. Everything we needed for a wonderful place to start and finish our days.

Tom and Eileens guest house is impeccable. We loved the sunsets and sitting on the porches watching the sky and the night moons. Everything is is well thought out .Food gas and provisio9ns are very easy to access by La Cumbra to State street. We visited the Botanical gardens and ate at the Fish House. recommended...The pool are is so calming Thank you for the perfect sejour.

A very relaxing stay in a beautiful home
We loved our time here. The home was beautiful and clean. It had really nice outdoor seating that was adjacent to the open floor plan/kitchen area. We had access to the pool and Jacuzzi, which was really wonderful for my son and his girlfriend. It was such a pleasant stay. The home is surrounded by lush greenery and flowers. A gem in the hills!

Best family trip ever
What an amazing place. Eileen and Tom are Super Hosts and made our stay just perfect. The Cottage as it is named is so beautiful and perfectly laid out but it’s no cottage. We loved the outdoor lanai for having breakfast (lunch or dinner) just off the kitchen. The location of the cottage is on a hillside with a fantastic view and it is as quiet as can be. So surreal. Just minutes from downtown but you feel like you are miles away from the rest of the world. Can’t say enough about the pool. Located 30 feet from the front door and wow what a great layout. Plenty of sun or shade if you need it. The pool is heated, so swimming at night or early in the morning is great. My 6-year-old spent half the trip in the pool. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has everything to cook or just prepare. Checking in was a breeze and the property is just beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. I guess you will just have to experience it for yourself. What else can I say, this was the best family trip we have taken so far. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the host they are very accommodating and helpful in planning. Huge thanks again to Tom and Eileen for hosting us, your family did a great job of being there for us without being noticed. We loved that! I do have one complaint, that the trip had to end! Thanks Santa Barbara. You did not disappoint. We will be back!

Peaceful, Quiet, Private Retreat - but close to everything
What's not to love?!? This lovely property is on a hillside with a sweeping unobstructed view of the ocean off in the distance. The cottage is perfectly situated and landscaped to enjoy the view from the inside and the patios without sacrificing any privacy from the host's home or any neighboring houses. We were greeted by a cool marine layer in the mornings and serenaded by many songbirds and hummingbirds as they enjoyed the abundance of plants and flowers throughout the property. We loved having three different sitting areas to enjoy and used them all. Truly a delightful property that you won't want to leave, but there's also much to see and do nearby!

Owners were very friendly and responsive. The washing machine broke and they replaced it immediately. This cottage is fully equipped and has everything we needed and much more. Was a very convenient and great location with a nice view. Will stay here again.

A really great place to stay in the foothills of SB
We really enjoyed our stay! The property is conveniently located, beautiful (as pictured), clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed with the basics you may need (much better than most other rentals). The furnishings and set up were all very well thought out. The hosts were responsive and helpful without being intrusive. They were generous/above and beyond with offering fresh squeezed orange juice and welcoming to our young children. Would absolutely visit again.

Quite and Relaxing - Amazing Patio
This was the absolute best value we could find on VRBO for Santa Barbara. If you do not need to be on the beach, then this lovely cottage in the foothills does not disappoint. The patio was amazing. The view amazing. The communication with the host was amazing. One of the best VRBO experiences I've had.

Our new favorite place
Absolutely phenomenal in every way. Perfect spot for our family of 4, they thought of everything! We enjoyed this beautiful home so much and can’t wait to come back. Quiet, super clean, fully stocked kitchen (with so many extras we lost count), flowers, live plants, the pool and hot tub, fire pit….heavenly! Eileen and Tom are just wonderful. Unanimously our favorite vacation home of all time.

Santa Barbara’s hidden gem with a million dollar view!
This super clean property is perfectly situated and has a million dollar view. This is in a very quiet residential neighborhood within 15 minutes of downtown Santa Barbara and sits high enough in the foothills to provide absolutely stunning views of the city and with beautiful ocean views and the Channel Islands. This property is perfectly designed for up to 2 couples. The master suite features a king bed, large TV and a super large double sink designer bathroom including a huge shower and separate bathtub. The second bedroom provides a queen bed with en-suite full bathroom. Linens are all provided and are way above hotel quality. The fully stocked large kitchen has everything you need and much more. We used the electric juicer for fresh orange juice every morning! The dining porch has giant pocket sliding glass doors that can be fully opened to bring the outdoors in. This area fully opens onto an outdoor patio with very comfortable cushioned seating around a beautiful propane fire table and enormous grill. The whole patio is surrounded by clear glass panels so you can enjoy every sunset without being bothered by a windy evening. You have access to the owners pool and heated spa just steps away. Parking is available within steps of front door. This property is a hidden gem where the owner has thought of everything. We arrived to the easy lockbox entry and found the owner had provided a welcome package that included a bottle of local Chardonnay, sparkling water, fresh citrus from his on property trees, fixings for our first morning. He even thought of having chilled beer mugs ready for the local craft brews we brought along! Communication with the owner Tom, a well regarded local architect, was easy and prompt. We truly enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We recommend this property without reservation. A couple of highlights on our trip was a short drive up into the foothills to visit the Painted Caves drawings by the indigenous Chumash native Americans, a wonderful dinner at La Paloma downtown, crazy good cocktails at Test Pilot and tacos at Mony both in the Funk Zone! You will really enjoy your stay at this property while enjoying Santa Barbara!
