“Beautiful Courtyard”

It's hard to have a negative experience when you are on your honeymoon! While the room was small, it was comfortable and had everything we needed; two bedside tables, a small table with two chairs, a refrigerator, microwave and armoir with a TV. The courtyard is so beautiful, with a few marble tables and benches, a fountain in the middle, with grass growing up between pavers, and lights strung above. It was beautiful when we walked in. Not to mention that the hotel is on the corner, with a beautiful view of the Ocean Beach pier and the Pacific Ocean.

“Great place in Ocean Beach”

The hotel is an older one, but very clean and well kept. It is on the beach - by the pier - beautiful spot! Room is small but has all the necessities - bed, tv, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Very close to restaurants and stores. Very accessible to other places - Sea World, Gaslamp district, Pt. Loma, etc. Very friendly people there. We enjoyed the hotel very much.

“Best Beach Hotel in California!”

Ocean Beach Hotel is not a 5 star hotel but hey, it has been bombarded by sea salt forever! But... it is a lovely, very welcoming hotel, smack in the heart of Ocean Beach and only steps from the water. The bottom floor accepts dogs and it seems the 2nd story, for youngsters and the 3rd floor for us old foogies! Beautiful courtyard with fountain and wi-fi. I would recommend this hotel to any water lover! And, not to mention the Ocean Beach Pier for fishing or just strolling. A real 1960's attitude in the whole town! All within walking distance of the hotel.

“Can't wait to go back!”

You really can't beat the price of this hotel. It was right on the beach, with many shops and restaurants and bars surrounding it. There is a quaint little courtyard in the middle of the hotel with many pretty flowers and a fountain. I couldn't complain about the room. It was just right. The workers at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time and will recommend this hotel to all our friends.

“Great location”

This hotel is in a great location. Its very close to the beach (20 seconds) and is surrounded by restaurants. The common courtyard has a great view of the ocean. Its also a very affordable taxi ride from the airport. The rooms are basic but clean and in good shape. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I was very pleased with my experience.

“Very Satisfied, Will Go Again”

At what seems like a large discount, the Ocean Beach Hotel was worth every penny and more. Right on the beach with many great food/entertainment locations nearby, I will most likely use this hotel as my San Diego hotel in the future. It may not be your typical 5-star hotel, but it was clean and gave the basic amenities that one asks for at the price. Good staff in a great part of town - good place to go if you want to get out of Hotel Circle.

Great hotel for our price range. The only inconvenience is that there was not a hair drier in the room, so I had to buy one, and there was not an electrical outlet in the bathroom. So I had to improvise with an extension cord. But being so close to the beach was awesome. Their courtyard is beautiful. We will return.

This hotel is wonderful! The staff are great and the view and convienence to everything is the best! OB takes you back to a simpler lifestyle, early 70's, where everyone is relaxed, easygoing. If you are looking for a highend place, this is not your cup of tea. We go to OB hotel every June and NEVER want to go back home. Soooo tranquil. The courtyard is the greatest, like an Italian courtyard! The ocean is STEPS AWAY from your room!
