Omni La Mansión del Rio, located on San Antonio's River Walk, completed its multi-million dollar guestroom and lobby refurbishment in September 2007. New features include a hand-carved concierge desk and cabinets; an updated reception desk; granite, limestone, iron, and bronze furnishings; and iron ceiling fixtures. A mixture of paintings, photography, and Mexican folk art are displayed throughout the property.
Every Friday, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM, the hotel hosts the Mariachi Quiroga group by the pool side.

This seven-story hotel has 338 guestrooms with views of the river, the courtyard, or the city.
All guestrooms feature credenzas topped with plasma televisions. Guestroom balconies feature new sound-insulated doors with double-paned glass for noise reduction.
Each room is individually appointed, but all have exposed brick walls, beamed ceilings, antique-style furnishings and fabrics, custom cotton bedding, cotton bathrobes, large reading chairs, and glass-topped desks. The marble baths offer large gilded mirrors, gooseneck faucets, plush bath linens, and Omni La Mansion's line of designer bath products. High-speed Internet access is available in all rooms (surcharge). In-room spa services are available for a surcharge.
All guestrooms are smoke-free, including balconies. A cleaning fee of $250 will be assessed for violations.
Dining
Las Canarias - This restaurant is known for its attentive touches, such as freshly brewed iced tea served with a sprig of mint and a tiny vase of chilled syrup. The romantic, casual setting includes three levels of interior seating. Guests are also served on the courtyard or veranda overlooking the Riverwalk. The menu features American regional fare, including seafood, steaks, and game meats. Open daily, the restaurant also hosts a Sunday brunch.
El Colegio - Once the library of the old St. Mary's College, this casual bar serves coffee specialty drinks in the morning and casual American fare in the evenings.

“A Wonderful Weekend.”
Room 751 has a noise problem - sounds like mechanical plant nearby (on roof?). Hotel moved us, with no issues, and very pleasantly to another room without any problems (524). Very helpful and pleasant car valet parking. The Riverwalk is a tourist trap, and most of the food places are what you'd expect (mass-market). But the Las Canarias restaourant in the hotel is extremely good, and quiet, with excellent wait-staff.
“We loved the Omni!”
We loved the Omni La Mansion del Rio! Beautiful room, location was fabulous, right on the River Walk. We used the valet parking it was convenient and the hotel staff were terrific every time we needed our car. The hotel staff was fabulous from cleaning the room to getting help at the desk and asking questions.

The hotel had character and charm. The staff was outstanding. Only draw back - had to share the spa and hot tub with a sister hotel across the river walk. Great place, would return in a minute.

Great location at a very comfortable hotel. My boys loved the excerise room. You did have to go across the river to the sister hotel, but it was well worth the walk. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a terrific time. I personally loved the church bells that played several times a day.
“Omni La Mansion”
We loved the hotel and our room. The hotel staff was warm and extremely helpful. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We did notice that the raised panel trim on the bathroom door (front and back) had not been dusted prior to our check-in. We would have liked chairs to use on the balcony, so that we could sit out there in the evening. We would highly recommend this hotel and would book another stay in any Omni hotel based upon our experience.

It is a great place. You can walk out of the back door and be on the riverwalk. We would for sure stay there again.
“Can't beat the location!”
Hotel was well located right on the Riverwalk and staff was accommodating. Parking was too expensive within hotel but there was a garage across the street for about $10 a day. Pool was rather small, but clean. One adult and 2 teenagers fit nicely in the double room. Riverwalk is noisy well into the early morning hours, but that's the price you pay for the location. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance, as the hotel restaurant was pretty pricey. All in all a very nice hotel.
“Great stay”
Hotel staff extremely helpful ,front desk very friendly and knowledgable as was the valet services with directions. No complaints at all. Great location right on the river walk.
