“An enjoyablestay”
The hotel was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. A 30 minute bus ride from the centre of Rome.
“Hotel Excel Roma Montemario, Rome”
We stayed at the hotel March 19-31,2012. The hotel was chosen after reading reviews on tripadvisor and we we were very pleased. We found the hotel to have beautiful grounds and amenities. Our room, a superior, was clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable stay.
“Modern and clean hotel with friendly staff”
This hotel is lovely. The only drawback is its location as its a little out of the centre although the buses are frequent and you can reach, say, Cipro metro station in about 20-25 mins. The hotel is very clean and in a quiet location so you are not disturbed by any traffic noise. The room was spotlessly clean and the staff all very friendly without exception. All of them spoke good English. The hotel has a smart modern restaurant and lovely gardens which would be very pleasant to relax and have a drink in during the summer.

“Fantastic hotel...”
...If your criteria is to find a serene retreat slightly outside of the city itself. Part of my trip was to visit the football on the day of arrival and the proximity between hotel and stadium was perfect. The hotel was quiet for the entirity of the stay and I would suggest that it'd be a struggle to find a better hotel anywhere in Rome - Certainly for a budget price. Sharp service, modern facilities and the breakfast was surprisingly varied. Tucked away slightly from the main road, I can only inagine ANY criticism on this hotel to be the 25 minute journey into the centre of the city. However, the 913 bus runs past the hotel every 5 or so minutes which eradicated any inconvenience in my opinion. Highly recommended.
“Very nice hotel”
This hotel is great value for money, nothing is too much trouble. When our cases went missing for three days in Munich the staff where helpful and sympathetic. The restaurant is lovely and when lit up in the evening very pretty. Only shame the bar did not open on a regular basis, but we did go in the low season
“Very comfortable and friendly”
This hotel was lovely, spacious, the staff was extremely friendly and willing to offer assistance at every turn. The wait staff in the restaurant were delightful to deal with. There are two small comments we would like to make. It would be beneficial to have a bench or a shelf in the bathroom to put clean clothes when showering and also had problems every time I tried to make an outbound phone call. I always had to ring down to reception for a line. Other than that a pleasure to stay here.
“A very good hotel”
Myself and 2 friends have just returned from a city break and we had a brilliant time. The hotel location is within a 20 minute bus ride from the Vatican City and buses run every 15 minutes (907 or 913 for which you buy your tickets at the tobacco shops for 4 euros which last for 24 hours, bargain..) with a 5 minute stroll to the bus stop which was welcome after the excellent breakfast that was provided. Our towels and bedding was changed daily which surprised us but impressed us. The hotel was very clean with the staff more than willing to oblige with any request that we made. A wee tip take a soft toilet roll with you as their toilet roll is not Andrex quaility. Yes, there is a problem with water leeking from the shower which they need to address, so take care. The reception staff are fluent in english and very informative and helpfull with directions, maps and local advice.

had a great time at this hotel everything was clean the staff were very efficent and always helped whenever we had a question. the pool was lovely breakfast was very nice.would go back to this hotel if i go back to rome
“Comfortable and relaxing”
We liked this hotel in general, staff were friendly and helpful on reception, bar and restaurant even if the food did not match the level of service. Menu had a poor overall look to it, was not detailed properly and was bland at best. Avoid the food and you should enjoy this hotel. Proximity to central Rome is good with a 15 to 20 minute bus ride taking you Cipro station, just around the corner from the Vatican museum and St. Peters. Because of our tight schedule we did not use the gym in the hotel but from other guests we talked to we got the impression that the facilities were good. Nice and quiet at night and relaxing overall.
