“UTTERLY AMAZING”
Hotel was amazing. Very attentive and polite staff, in all departments. I normally have very high standards when it comes to hotels, as I work in one myself, so always on the look out for little extras. Sofitel made our 5 night stay in rome an absolute pleasure. I would highly reccommend this hotel as the idea base for a trip to Rome.
“Review of Sofitel Rome”
The hotel was in a great part of the city and away from the main streets so was generally quiet. The room was very nice and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The roof top bar had amazing views however it lacked atmosphere and was very expensive.
“One of the most outstanding hotel stays ever.”
During a recent visit to Rome , we booked 2 Luxury rooms at the Hotel Sofitel-Villa Borghese in Rome. One was for me and my wife and another for my parents who were traveling from India. While we have stayed at many 4 and 5 Star Luxury Hotels all over the world,we have to say that our stay at Sofitel was one of the best experiences we have ever had.The hotel is situated in a quiet side street in Rome but very centrally located from all major attractions. It is less than a 10 min walk from the Spanish Steps and 20 minutes or so walking distance from Trevi Fountain, Pantheon etc.We even tried walking to the Vatican from the hotel and could do it in about 45 minutes. We arrived at the hotel kind of early (8am) and even though the official check-in time is not until 2pm,the staff was so amazing and allowed us to check-in early. The luxury room was very spacious with a small balcony with a great view of Rome. The bathroom is equally luxurious and comes with premium amenities and a beautiful bathtub and a rain shower that I absolutely loved.Throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out,the hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was comfortable and fun.Everyone was always smiling and ready to help us..whether it was getting a Taxi or arranging for a pick-up for the parents from the airport, they were glad to arrange everything. All in all,we had an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
“Staff”
Great location, amazing staff, great up keep. All in all, a wonderful experience!
“Nice hotel, nice staff”
The staff was extremely helpful and polite - working tirelessly for any request we had. The rooms were comfortable with beautiful views, and the rooftop terrace also offered pleasing views of the Borghese Gardens and surrounding city, worth the hefty price of a cocktail or glass of wine.
“Classy Roman digs”
The Soffitel Villa Borghese is an outstanding facility. The location is convenient to the Villa Borghese, the Via Veneto area and the tourist/shopping area near the Spanish Steps and the Piazza del Popolo. The staff are courteous, accommodating and well-trained, and the roof-top restaurant is truly special. You could perhaps find more luxury or a better value for money, but you could look long and hard for a better combination of the two. Highly recommended.
“Great location, good value”
Location is excellent - off Via Veneto and close to Villa Borghese. Walking distance from the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain and the Pantheon. Stylish terrace bar and restaurant (though overpriced). Excellent unobtrusive service at the bar/restaurant, front desk and maid service.
“Fantastic hotel”
We were given a corner luxury room - one of the largest in the hotel and it did not disappoint. Very spacious, comfortable and clean as expected from the reviews. The staff were very helpful in booking restaurants and tours. Everyone had a smile on their faces and we have to thank Mr Luca for some of his restaurant recommendation's. The location was perfect, 5 mins from the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, 20min from the Pantheon and Navona Square. The road itself is just off Via Venetto away from the traffic and noise. The only downside was the hotel restaurant, while we expected it to be pricey the menu was slightly disappointing and the terrace was closed during the winter. However this does not dent our opinion of the overall experience which was fantastic. Would definitely return again.
“Roman Holiday”
Sofitel Villa Borghese was everything we expected and more. The staff is excellent, and so helpful. Maria suggested a great restaurant, San Marco, her and Monica arranged our train to Milan and answered many other querries. The location is in a great neighboorhood, with a beautiful & historic park at our feet. Many sites & restaurants in walking distance, including a great deli barely one block away. Two metro stations within walking distance & the 116 bus line will take you almost everywhere on your to see list. Our room was so comfortable, as well as our bed, and the pillows(they have a pillow menu)!! I great location if you want to be close to everything, yet tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the city!
