Secluded Tiny House with Hot Tub

Named after the Red Spotted Newt, a salamander commonly found in the Red River Gorge, A “Newt” Little Cabin is a unique 240sqft studio +loft that sleeps up to three people. Start your morning with a cup of coffee listening to the birds sing while relaxing in an Adirondack chair on the walk around deck. In the afternoon, explore the rock shelter located behind the cabin or take a short trek in Cave Hollow. In the evening, climb the hillside for a majestic view while roasting marshmallows around the fire situated high above the cabin or stargazing in the soothing hot tub amongst the trees. A “Newt” Little Cabin is conveniently located only minutes from Natural Bridge State Resort Park, Red River Gorge Geological Area, and other local attractions and restaurants. It has a queen size bed featuring a Molecule mattress on the main floor and a twin-size mattress in the loft (accessible by climbing an 8ft ladder). The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, eating nook/workspace, full bathroom, high-speed internet, a smart TV, Barcalounger and La-Z-Boy leather recliners, and heating and air conditioning. The cabin is on well water and recommend bringing bottled water for drinking. There is one pet less than 25 pounds is allowed.

Cave Hollow is a limited access area that requires a front or all-wheel drive for access and is not motorcycle friendly.

Great Getaway
My husband and I loved staying here for the weekend! Insider tip, definitely glad we brought a car with 4wd to get there!

cute little place with a few compromises
We had a good stay. The location is far enough from the main road to not be too noisy and there is only one neighbor that is a good ways off, but the driveway/road is a little rough. Most cars would be okay but if you have something low it could be an issue. In the description they do recommend bringing drinking water, but at the place all the faucets are labeled "non-potable" which was a bit odd. If it is just well water maybe it has a flavor or something, but non-potable suggests it is not safe to drink. You have to do the dishes and bath in it though so maybe if you have small kids this would be a concern. There were also a lot wasps. We killed at least 10. Seems like they knew this was possible as there was some spray there to use. It would have been a good idea to let us know though as some people are seriously allergic to stings. The hot tub is nice, but most of the jets are weak. Just the one on the lower left is very strong despite turning the adjusters every which way.

The perfect place to relax after a day of hiking
The property was very clean and exactly as described. Though private and secluded, it was easy to get to and close to area attractions.

Clean and close to a lot of activities
Very nice tiny house with all the amenities you need. The only reason for the 4 star is it wasn’t as secluded as I thought it’d be. You can hear the main road nearby and the hot tub needed to be cleaned.

Appears to be a brand new cabin. You’ll def need a 4wd to get up the hill. My outback bottomed out a few times. It’s in the perfect location. I’ll def book it again.

The house itself and the hot tub were great but the road leading to it was incredibly rough. I wish there was a warning or heads up in the description. My car was damaged in the undercarriage due to the rough road

Newt’s Near Perfect
The Newt Little Cabin was everything it promised to be: comfortable, well-appointed and clean. We both found it to be a charming spot! The only negative is no screen on the slider to the deck.

Has everything you need (maybe could use a luggage rest) plenty of towels- and even beach towels!! LOOOOVED the hot tub under the stars. Glad we had an SUV to get up the mountain! Fabulous adventure.
