“Unexpected Greatness in Riverside??”
This was an very unexpected surprise. I was supposed to spend the night in Palm Springs but the entire town was sold out. Bummed, I searched in Riverside because I didn't think I stay awake for the trip back to San Diego at 11 at night. Honestly I expected nothing, but did a search and this place came up 4 stars. Now, I do a lot of business and personal travel and can honestly say this was one of the nicest hotels I've been to. The rooms were very nice, the bed great, and the service was outstanding. The place was very high-end feeling (who knew this many President's had been to Riverside???). I loved it and will definately go back with my wife for a quick get away. My only regret was not trying the Spa, which looked great, but I ran out of time.
“5 Star Experience in an Old World classic hotel”
I was delighted with my 2 night stay at The Mission Inn! I stayed 2 nights over a Friday and Saturday night. From the front desk staff to the restaurant staff to the great food in the Mission Restaurant, Bella Trattoria and room service breakfast on Easter Sunday, the experience was top notch! Very memorable considering that I had wanted to stay here for many years. It lived up to my imagination and surpassed my expectations. For the money, one of the best hotel experiences I've had in my life, and I've traveled the world! Highly recommended and would hope to stay again some day!
“Most interesting hotel I've ever stayed in”
I love the Mission Inn. I've stayed there about half a dozen times over the last 10-15 years, and I've always loved it. Every room is different, and the whole place is unique. We ate dinner in the Spanish Patio (part of the Mission Inn restaurant) and the food was great. The service and level of care were great. It's more expensive than other places in Riverside, and it's worth it.
“Beautiful hotel... we felt like we were on our honeymoon!”
We went here for our anniversary and we will be back again for my husbands 40th b-day weekend. The only thing about this hotel is ..it CAN be a bit noisy if you are above one of the restaurants or on the wedding side but ... the weddings that go one there totally make it feel like a romantic place to be. We loved it!
“The Mission Inn is a place I will return to time and again!!”
The Mission Inn in Riverside is a beautiful and historical building. I have lived in this area a while and I never knew the beauty of the place. My husband and I took many pictures of the architecture. The dining was terrific as well as valet parking and room service. I would definitely recommend everyone stay there at least once!
“Mission Inn”
The mission Inn was a lovely place to stay. I would recommend taking the museum tour as it tells you a lot of history about the hotel and highlights things that you would otherwise miss. Please make reservations for Sunday brunch. It doesn't start until 9:30 and the hotel has no other breakfast on Sunday other than the brunch
“Inland Empire's Best!!”
Ambience superb! Room was very large and immaculate. The restoration of this vintage hotel is superb. It was a treat!!
“Great place to stay”
The Mission Inn was a very nice hotel with resort-like feel. The grounds are fun to explore--the chapel is beautiful and the pool area is great. We ate at the Mexican restaurant on the patio, it was very good. If you have to go to Riverside, this is the place to stay!
“A Destination”
Hadn't been back since college days (54 years ago), and the maintenance and refurbishing continue to make this a fascinating and aesthetic destination, with lots of exploring to do, a bit of Hearst's Castle and the Ahwahnee in flavor. The rooms are individual and well done, although the walls can be thin (and entertaining?) Pool is well done. Restaurants are all grown up and rewarding. Staff bent over backward to assure satisfaction. Wedding celebrations are in evidence much of the weekend, but it is nice to see people dressed as adults.
“historic, memorable...oasis”
It was all good. What can one say? Long live the Mission Inn.
