"We loved it here. Such an amazing place. It’s remote, but the signage was good and our driver found it. Probably best to get there during the day. We took a chocolate making class and went on the night walk in the jungle. It is an eco resort, so don’t expect hot showers, which is usually a deal breaker for me. But the place was so nice we were very happy we stayed here. "

"Everything at the lodge was good but could have been great with improved communication. Our family of four arrived at the same time as a group and we were offered the options to joint their tours on an expedited schedule (four days of activities in two days). We joined them for the full day Napo tour and really enjoyed the day but we were very rushed and had no idea what activity was next. At the end of the day, the four of us were left alone at the river bank for 45 minutes waiting for he bus...

"Nice place to getaway from cell phones, email etc. as they do not have wi-fi. Beautiful, refreshing pool. Excellent mission to be eco-friendly. We enjoyed the screened in room right on the river and hearing the rain. However, it gets very warm and there is no fan. Food is excellent. The staff (except for the activities director) was unfriendly. Acted like we were inconvencing them. Need better trading. No one on the staff spoke English. Perfect place to stay in Tena

"We ended up staying here for a total of almost 2 weeks. We would stay here and then check out to go do treks in the jungle, but then always return to this hotel. The property is beautiful, kept in perfect condition. Everything is very clean, there is always hot water. They have a free baggage storage service, that's nice. The staff were all very friendly, helpful. The kitchen is well stocked, lots of pots and pans, dishes etc. There's a nice outside area where you can sit and enjoy a view of the city. Because we kept checking in and leaving and coming back, we got to stay in a total of three rooms, all the rooms that we have seen were really nice. All of them are out of direct sunlight. All the rooms are very spacious. One nice thing is that they ask that you keep your shoes just outside the main entrance, but you can walk around in sandals. This is part of why the floors and everything else are so clean and beautiful. And it also establishes that you can trust the place, your stuff is safe sitting out by the door. The hostel is maybe 15 minutes walk away from the main part of the city, it's just removed enough so that you don't have the noises of the city around you and it's peaceful. It has a really great view over the city, there are some little shops and restaurants just a couple minutes walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here and if we come back, we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends. "

We joined them for the full day Napo tour and really enjoyed the day but we were very rushed and had no idea what activity was next. At the end of the day, the four of us were left alone at the river bank for 45 minutes waiting for he bus while the guides took the rest of the group to another location. They do serve food, but it's not a restaurant, it's just one meal offered. That said they did an amazing job catering to my dietary restrictions and the pricing was very reasonable. The staff were helpful, but they were too few doing too much for too many for too long. The same guys did breakfast,, drove the boats, did the tours, cleaned rooms and then were on dinner duty. We tipped them well as they worked hard. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were mouldy, the shower was hot but faucets leaked, sheets and towels were fresh washed but the elastic corners were gone in all the bedding and the towels were worn and had holes in them. Overall, you get what you pay for and this is a budget friendly option in a remote area. If you're on a budget, it's a good option that you won't regret but don't go expecting frills."
