“What a wonderful Stay!!!!”
This was the first time my husband and I went to Punta Cana and once we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with friendly people. The service was excellent, the employees from front desk, to servers to cooks were all entertaining, they always went beyond there way to help you out. They view from our hotel was excellent, the beach was sooo close to our room. Everything was so clean, from our room to the pool. I will recommend this hotel to everyone, this was a wonderful expierence and I am so glad I booked through expidea, everyone was so helpful!!
“Can't wait to go back!!!”
I enjoyed the Catalonia Beach Resort. My husband and I were there for a week and we had a wonderful time. The hotel and staff were very nice. The food was excellent. The beach and pool area were both very relaxing and fun. We are planning a return trip in December.
“Very nice resort”
My wife and I just got back from spending a week there and would highly recommend it. The resort was great...we spent most of our day at the beach and then at the huge pool with a swim up bar. The food at the buffets was good, offering many selections and the food at the four themed restaurants was excellent! My only concerns was the lack of English that the staff speaks as sometimes it was tough to communicate. It also has a very Europian influence as we ran into only a handful of guests that even spoke English. Along those lines, my wife was surprised to see women topless on the beach, but that's just a cultural difference. Also the bars have a list of about 20 drinks they make and that is it, so your a bit limited on what you can have to drink. The beach was really nice, with plenty of palm trees if you want to sit in the shade as well. The resort also has a small casino and some form of entertainment every night, as well as a disco. Overall though I thought it was great. The staff was all very friendly (even with knowing little English), the food was good (ask for a tequilla boom-boom as Mariachi), and the grounds were well kept.
“WE WILL BE BACK ANYTIME, VERY GOOD PEOPLE AND HOTEL”
This is a very nice hotel, especially the people is good, happy, and always take care of you, was plenty food and liquors anytime, staff working hard for the clients, animation group was excellent for the hoilidays in the New Year eve and new Year's Day,installations good, only it is small refrigerator in the rooms it can be improved, but anyway we will go back to Catalonia, that's one of the best vacations we had.
“can't wait to go back”
warm enviroment to relax and tune off from my busy daily activities. the food was nice and plentiful, no need for the prvate resturrants as the buffert style had it all. the beach was clean and well maintained and the entertainment team is what makes this hotel [4****]. We had a great time and will defenitely return.
“it was fun”
over all this was a great experience. im 24 and went with my girlfriend. this is our first vacation to a resort. we stayed for two weeks. the food was very good at first but after a week you get tired of it. you definitely wont starve but we very often wanted something better. if i had the one request it would be that they would be able to have a longer lunch session. sometimes we were too busy to eat lunch and by the time we arrived lunch was over. the beaches and the pools are beautiful. the service at the hotel is great. i honestly felt like VIP.. LOL they cater to our every whim. the only lack in service was with the dry cleaning. they took over three days to pick up our clothes. the entertainment team was great. they really interact with everyone and make even the shyest people come alive. the room looked great but after a few days we noticed smell of mold which was coming from the AC system. we tried to change rooms but it did not happen. so we dealt with it and simply opened the balcony door and kept the fan on high to push the smell away. other than that everything was great. the drinks were great. i think we stayed too long. two weeks is a long time at a resort i think we should have stayed for one week.
“Catalonia Bavaro”
great spot, great price. nice beaches. weird system for reserving dinners -- make sure you take care of it right when you get there.
“Nice Hotel”
The Hotel and it's staff were great. The room was very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. This hotel is good for families, there seemed to be quite a lot of activites for kids. This was our first trip to this type of resort, we usually don't like vacations where you are "spoon fed", but the Euro rate was so high and the winter so cold, we decided to give it a try, we will be back! The only negative I could say had nothing to do with the hotel, but there were A LOT of nasty people there as guests! They treated the staff rude, thought they were superior to everyone else, and generally disregarded hotel rules (like no reserving cabanas, or open toe shoes at resturants). It is not the hotel's fault that some of their guests are jerks, yet the staff handled it all with grace and manners. Generally a great place, would recommond it to friends and family, as long as they can ignore the nastyness of some of the other people around them.
“Beautiful!”
Loved the environment, friendly people, and beuatiful beaches. The food was okay... expected better in restaurants than buffets, but the restaurants were subpar. Excursions were great, but were available with other hotels. Overall, enjoyed the place.
“catalonia mars 2011”
