“slojoe”
Wonderful staff, food was better than last year, updating pools while we were there. Looking forward to next years trip
“It's Ok”
The staff is great, very helpful. They insure that you have everything you need. The hotel needs some work, food is not the best. Overall, the time we stayed wasn't too bad... certain things could of been better.
“Nice Hotel, Great Family Atmoshpere”
Definitely not a 5 star hotel but well worth the price. Staff was very helpful and courteous, food was decent, the room was clean and kept at a comfortable temperature all day long. Great resort for family with kids. Would definitely return
“no air conditioner”
air conditioners in our groups rooms were not working very difficult to get fans
“nice family hotel”
The hotel is geared more toward the family, so if you are interested in the Puerto Vallarta night life you might want to choose something a little closer in. Nuevo Vallarta is about a 15-20 minute cab ride from Puerto Vallarta. However, the beaches in Nuevo Vallarta are far superior to the beaches in Puerto, and you don't have to contend with the beach hustlers as much. The Samba was nice, although, I found the food not as good as at other all-inclusive hotels that I have visited. I think that it is a little pricey for what you get, but if you can get a discount the visit will be well worth it. Nuevo Vallarta is a self contained community and is quite safe.
“Would definitely like to go back to the Samba Vallarta”
We had a great stay at the Samba Mar22-30, 2011. Smaller hotel with basic amenities but more personal service and not too loud (not a party hotel). Lots of Mexican tourists and less Canadians and Americans - refreshing, coming from a Canadian. It's a good family hotel and it has lots to do for small children. Beautiful beach and about a mile walk to Bucerias. Good food. Good value for the money. I would definitely stay there again.
“Small Local Resort”
Lots of locals, which was great for us to practice our Spanish! The staff was great. Definitely eat at the a-la-carte restaurants. Parasailing on the beach is great! The rooms were nice. We stayed on the 4th floor. The beds were nice, but the bathrooms need to be redone. The food was good but not amazing. The Italian restaurant was our favorite. Overall, it was a great stay!
“Home away from home.”
The hotel is better than it has ever been. The new owners, Hotels Emporio has renovated the rooms complete with new furniture and bedding to the Marriot standards. They have made changes to the restaurants to ensure the food is maintained to the desirable temperatures. The food that is intended to be hot is kept hot and the salads etc that are to be kept cold are refrigerated to maintain their peak condition. The food is constantly being monitired by nanagement or in the evening by their chef. There was never a time we didn't find food that was to our liking. This is always a challenge considering the various nationalities staying at any one time. The chefs are really trying hard to constantly create new dishes and welcome all suggestions. The hotel management have a very hands on approach in operating the hotel. From their general manager Mike to all the department managers they are constantly throughout the hotel monitoring the staff and guests. Again here they take their guest's suggestions and comments very seriously. The general staff we come into contact throughout the days always great you with a smile and go out of their way to make your stay the most pleasant yet. This has been our sixth visit here and congratulations to all the staff and management for a job well done.
“thas a good hotel”
I wil back next year
“Great service, great value”
First off I'll start with the only thing that was not great about the hotel. It was very noisy due to the tile floors. This made it hard to sleep in. Other than that everything was better than what I expected from the reviews. I'm not sure if people expected a sandals resort and that's why they gave it a bad review because I thought this place was nicer than the 3.5 star it says it is (atleast a 4star). The service was the best part. Every single worker was happy and always there to get you whatever you needed. Bruno, Fermin, and Carlos are the best bartenders I've had in Mexico. Our room was new and clean. No smells like other reviews said. Our bed was an actual king bed yes an actual king bed. And the buffet food was awesome. Changed for each meal always hot and fresh and everything I ate was good. The beach was perfect sand and I the free boogie boards are awesome. We always were able to get a palapa without problem. Never went in the pool But it looked nice. It was the perfect resort for us.
