“Not impressed”
We received the smallest room they had and when I inquired about a new room they were very friendly in helping me out. Although they gave me the impression that there would not be additional charge when a new room was available and I went to get the actual upgraded room key they then informed me there would be an additional charge!
“Clean but Small”
Clean and well appointed room but very small - one person at a time around the bed and the need to duck between the foot of the bed and the flat screen mounted on the wall. That being said, if you're heading to Paris for a large hotel room you need to read another guide book. Less expensive breakfast options right around the corner. Convenient to metro locations.
“Convenient”
Close to metro station line with connection to several lines including RER. I liked the modern decoration. It was somewhat noisy from the outside and you could hear the banging of doors of the other rooms when guests left early in the morning but overall it was OK. Store is across the street to buy groceries.
“Nice and convenient hotel”
Very convenient location located a few minutes walking distance to the Nation Metro station near alot of bistros and cafes. Front desk was very nice. Rooms were very tight and compact but otherwise clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
“small boutique hotel”
The hotel seemed either new or had a very recent reno. It was tastefully decorated in a boutique hotel way - modern, clean, interesting. The rooms were tiny as is too often the case in boutigue hotels. I had to move rooms and the second one was so small that you couldn't open the door the whole way as it hit the bed. I was on my own, so it wasn't a problem, but I wouldn't have fancied going to the bathroom with anyone else in the room, as the thin door was only inches away from the bed! My biggest gripe with the hotel was the service of one particular employee, if your reading this, the girl that works during the day on the weekend. I booked this hotel for 3 main reasons, the location was good, it looked like a stylish hotel at a reasonable price, it had a gym and free internet in the room. Except the internet in the room didn't work and it turned out it didn't work on that entire floor. There seemed no intent to have it fixed and I was told by this particular girl on Saturday morning that although she had spare rooms she couldn't possibly move me now, because she had given the cleaning schedule to the staff 10 minutes before! The lovely evening staff however had no problem changing my room thankfully.
“Okey but a bit smelly”
The hotel is okey. Staff is friendly. Suspect smell in the bathroom, probably mould. Condition is not the best. Alot of damages, sink was loose, wallpaper's defect. If the room hadn't smelled bad it would have been okey, we didn't complain about it so maybe we could have got a better room if we did. But since we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel we didn't care too much.
“Great experience”
We had a great experience overall.Although we had a tough time due to cancellations of our flight when we arrived at the hotel the staff was keen to help , very polite and customer focused. They gave us all the information that we sparely needed regarding good places to eat and rail information that we have asked. The room was very neat and very warm and comfortable. The hotel location was very good. Although it was very calm as a neighborhood we had excellent easy access on the metro station and the breakfast facility really rich and well organised. It was definitely a recommended place to go back!!!!
“Nice hotel in Nation district”
I had read another traveler's comments about Pavillon Nation and it was their comments that made me chose this hotel. I was extremely happy with this hotel. It was a block away from the metro station which would take you wherever you needed within minutes. It wasn't near any main attraction but that's what I was looking for. The shower always had hot water. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. They did speak some English and were very helpful whenever we had a request. The room was small but the queen bed was very comfortable. If I were to return to Paris, I would stay at this hotel again.
“small hotel in a great neighborhood in Paris.”
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I have been to Paris numerous times and I wanted to stay in a small hotel in a great neighborhood away from the tourist areas. Lots of great places to eat and shops in the surrounding area, plus a great market on Saturday. The hotel was also close to a major metro and RER station.
“Good Value for the Money”
Although the hotel was a little out of the way, it was a few minutes walk to the Metro station. Lots of restaurants and food sources in the area (a great supermarket just up the road). Hotel staff were very helpful in researching tours on our behalf. Room was very clean; however, very small by North American standards.
