“A good inner city location”
Only spent a couple of nights here but found it very convenient for getting around Paris. Rooms are clean and comfortable but we would have liked to have had coffee/tea making facilities in the room. We did not eat in the hotel as there are plenty of cafes near by which are better value for money and where you can sit and watch the world go by, as the local people do.
“Would go back tomorrow”
This hotel was perfectly places as it was within a hundred yards of the nearest Metro and a few blocks from the next nearest, the Marais itself was a great place to explore and worth walking into town down the vielle du temple with its surounding shops and bars until you reach rivolli. The Hotel was quiet and clean with english speaking staff and the only slight issue i had was that the breakfasts were pricy but cheaper in the local cafes of even better the local baker -twenty five yards away does superb coffes and any pastry you could think off for less than half the price.
“Wish we stayed longer”
This hotel more than satisfied our needs. Staff helpful and pleasant, room fresh and clean. Easy to reach by metro. The area, by Square Republic, was not "touristy"; it was interesting for food, walks and local people. Wish we could have stayed longer. Good value by Paris standards.
“Great value hotel.”
This is an excellent 2 star hotel and great value.
“I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Paris.”
The hotel sits on a quiet street just on the edge of the Marais section of Paris, which is absolutely one of the most beautiful old medieval Paris neighborhoods. Walking to and from the Latin Quarter or the Louvre is a delight. Around the corner from the hotel is the Republique metro station which allows easy access to and from any area in Paris. And around another corner from the hotel is the increasingly trendy Oberkampf area. At the end of the block from the hotel is a wonderful boulangerie for morning coffee and pastry, and there's a great crepe place just a block away called Cafe Imogene.. After staying in this area, I would not ever consider staying in any other area of Paris.
“Decent for the price”
This hotel was apparently the cheapest I could get through expedia which was actually in Paris centre ville. I really liked how our window opened up into the courtyard, which was pretty at night. But it gets a little hot if you want to keep the window closed and we were there..end of May. If you are touristy, the closest stop we could get off and on from was Notre Dame or the Louvre, which were 10-20 minutes walking to or from the hotel. So, just be prepared to walk or take the metro :) . It's not the 1ere arrondissement so it's not the best of neighborhoods either, but it's fairly okay, just keep your wits about you wherever you are in Paris. Hotel receptionists were all very kind and helped us with maps and even held something in the fridge for us because we didn't have a fridge in our room. Oh and they called a taxi for us too :)
“Very good value”
As I was on my own this time I didn't mind considering a more basic hotel. As it turned out this was as good if not better than other Paris hotels I've paid much more for. The room was a reasonable size, the TV and shower worked well and the bed was very comfortable. I was in a courtyard room that was very quiet. Check-in was hassle-free. The hotel is very near the Marais though not actually in it, which is probably why the hotel is that bit cheaper.
“good weekend”
Hotel was all the best you would expect of a 2**. Tidy, clean , comfortable but room small and no fancy. The nearby Boulangerie was absolutely excellent for breakfast (and tea). Communication to the rest of Paris was good
“Good Location and quiet neighborhood”
THis is a good 2 star hotel, its comfortable and a great base for a restful sleep. The bakery on the corner of rue de malte and Voltaire is superb and not expensive. Good coffe so ideal for breakfast. Oberkampf metro is no more than a minute away and is on line 5 so handy if arriving at Gare du Nord. Otherwise the local area is very pleasant with plenty of bars and cafes. The local 96 Bus will get to the rivoli shops and Notre Dame Area in 10 minutes.
“Convenient simple hotel”
We wanted an inexpensive central hotel for our New Year trip to Paris. This hotel was fine. Our room was a little hot - we had to sleep with the window open in December - but quiet. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel - but there was a convenient boulangerie offering a tasty simple breakfast on the corner of Rue de Malte and Boulevarde Voltaire.
