“Not worth the price”
This hotel was just ok, certainly not worth the price. The room was very basic and the bathroom did not even have complimentary toiletries. It's great if you want to be close to the airport but there are several other hotels located in the same area so I would suggest you look at others.
“Met Needs”
We only had 7 hours to spend at a hotel an since we didn't arrive until 12:30AM I can't say I was paying considerable attention to detail. But this hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. Bus driver was a snob and didn't want to stop at the airport long enough for us to get on the bus but we made it. Get clear directions on where to pick up the shuttle. You pick it up on the 5th floor of the airport but there aren't any signs in the airport as to how to get to level 5 and it isn't intuitive at all. Even asking the lady at the information desk wasn't very helpful. Didn't eat at the hotel. Would stay there again.
“Clean, Close, Comfortable”
For a quick turn around, this is a good choice. If you are wanting to go into Paris though, it is quite a trip. There is a free shuttle to the airport that take 10 - 15 minutes to terminal 1, where you can catch the train into Paris. It costs around 18.50 euro per adult for 1 round trip ticket, but a day pass is 20.00 euro, so I would suggest going for it instead. It is a long ride into the heart. About 40 minutes from airport to Notre Dame. You have to go through a not so nice part of town, which may make those that don't frequent subways a bit uneasy. Overall, a nice hotel for the price.
“Exactly as described”
With a 12 hour nighttime layover in Paris we needed a reasonably priced, clean quiet hotel close to CDG airport. The Best Western was just as advertised. Once we figured out where and how to catch the free shuttle we arrived at the location in a few minutes. Check-in was prompt and pleasant and we were soon in our room. Our overall experience was very positive and we would certainly consider staying there again under similar circumstances.
“Decent Airport Hotel for CDG”
We stayed here our last night in Paris, to be near to the airport on the morning of our departure. The hotel has large, clean, well-equiped rooms. After 12 days in France, the rooms in this hotel were like being back in the U.S. It is about as convenient to the DeGaulle airport as any other, but access to the airport is via a shuttle bus that services all the hotels along this "hotel alley." The Best Western, however, is at the end of the line, before the bus heads back to the airport, so it is frequently full. Even though there were only a few of us waiting for the shuttle, we were lucky to be able to squeeze onto the bus. At the airport, the bus stops are not well marked, and the bus driver didn't speak English, so it was difficult to know where to get off, and how to get your particular terminal/check-in -- but that is not the hotel's fault, and if probably about the same for any of the hotels along this stretch.
“Great for an overnight”
As a convenient place to stay between trips into and out of Charles de Gaulle, this was a great choice. It was inexpensive, clean, has an onsite restaurant and bar open late and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Their free shuttle also saves you about 20 euros each way to and from the airport. It is definitely no frills, but for a one night stay fit the bill perfectly.
“modern airport hotel”
Well located--very nice, large modern room and bathroom but not Paris-y at all--did not eat at the restaurants, but there is a small village in walking distance with some nice places to eat--hotel got an extra shuttle bus to take us to the airport as the regular one kept arriving full--if they hadn't done this getting to the airport on time would have been a problem.
“Annoying Staff”
We were checked in by a young lady who had no clue. The reservation was prepaid, but she didn't ask for a credit card for extras. I charged a drink at the bar to my room ($8), and subsequently the bartender came banging at the door asking for the money, and later called to follow up. I complained to the front desk who just made implausible excuses. I had a similar attitude when I checked out. There are too many options in the area to want to deal with this sort of attitude.
“Never going back there”
So-called complimentary shuttle "service" from CDG is impossible to get; return to airport doesn't go near departure terminals either. Food in restaurant & lounge is awful. Example: A pink tapioca pudding under a burnt sugar crust masquerading as Creme Brulee for 12E was inedible. Server ignored 2 women travelers for over 30 minutes while catering to 3 tables of later-arriving men, then didn't honor specific order requests. Bartender served a vodka martini requested "dry, straight up" as 3 parts sweet vermouth to 1 part vodka in a cooler glass filled with crushed ice, no twist, and a straw. Breakfast, which was included in the pre-paid room rate, was added to the bill again (18E), and was of very poor quality. The best that can be said is that at least the beds were comfortable and clean.
“Good Airport Hotel”
I was very impressed with the hotel. The food at dinner time was excellent. I would caution any other customer that we needed to get a taxi back to the airport because of a 6:25 A.M. Flight. The black bus does not start until 5:30 A.M. This was too short a time before flight.
