“Christmas in Calgary”
The location of the hotel is well positioned downtown so one can easily walk to nearby attractions. It offers underground parking which is a plus in the winter time. Good coffee to be had at the near corner.
“Getaway in the city”
Great hotel for a great price
“Great Service in Modern & trendy Hotel”
The staff at Hotel Arts is it's biggest plus. Friendly and competent. And although the room itself was lovely, it did not have a full length mirror (only a tiny one in the bathroom), the lighting was poor (for those of us that put on make-up) and there was no fridge/mini bar in the room (not great for diabetics or left-overs).
“I like it here”
Great location downtown with a somewhat unique artistic flare. Rooms are ordinary but clean, staff are great, valet parking is easy. Could use a mini-bar in the room and room service took a while to bring up drinks, but we survived!
“Won't be back”
I was very disappointed with many different areas of this hotel. For starters we had to wait til much after check in time for our room due to a back-up with house cleaning only to find our room still dirty with thick dust on all surfaces. We were treated like second class citizens in this "upscale" hotel which in my opinion was rather over priced for what it was. There was no bar fridge or iron and only one small mirror in the poorly lit bathroom. Parking was overpriced, as was the price of in room internet.
“Le Arts?”
Hotel arts is great and wonderful for any guest wishing for a taste of luxury in calgary. Pros? -Okay location, a little off the beaten path but still in a growing and redelvoping part of calgary. The neighbourhood is cute and ideal for a young couple. -Excellent rooms. My King suite was perfect. A little small, but the decor and comfyness of the bed was a huge plus. -Hotel looks a little dingey from the inside but makes up for the apperance inside. Custom artwork and taliored lamps gives you a little taste of luxury. Downside? -Room service is a tadddd bit overpriced (38 dollars between my finacne and I for two smoke meat eggs bendicts) but well served with enough condoments to fill a college dorm. -Pillows on the bed felt cheap and just lacked the comfort level that should of been present throughout the room. -I left flowers in my room, and remebered as soon as i left and called the hotel about them, that i made had taken them away. Got the flowers back, but they changed the vase in the process.. leaving me with a cheap one stained with nicoteene stains. -Pay parking is good (for calgary prices) but the garage is usualy full and as such, trying to find a parking space was a TAD bit challenging. In all, good expirence. Will probably be back again.
“disappointed”
it was not the type of room we booked. the room was 99degrees when we checked in. The air conditioner didn't work. Had to call maintenance during the night..light bulbs were burnt out. room poorly lit anyway. could not lock patio door. etc
“Pretty cool Hotel”
I have stayed at the Hotel Arts before and was not disappointed. Beds are comfortable, nestled in part of the downtown, located near lots of eateries, stampede park is close by. The only stipulations I have are the extra fees for Public parking and Internet access....I can understand $28/day for Valet service but $18/day to park my own vehicle? and $10.49/day for Internet? Most budget motels provide internet for free. Just one downfall of a LOT of downtown hotels. Overall, recommend this hotel.
“Hotel Arts”
Air conditioning/heat was broke. Hotel gave me one breakfast coupon only after I complained. TV did not work very well some channels were entirely unwatchable. Over priced hotel.
“I will go back!”
I love it! I will go back next time! Clean, great service and the convenience of great restaurants around.
