Simple. Perfect for a quick crash pad.
I like the ease of checking in without having to worry about being there on time. I’ve stayed twice. First time, the night temps in Palm Springs dropped to low 40’s. Room only had a small heater. Would have been nice if the heater in the wall actually cranked out some heat. Second time, the toilet clogged and there wasn’t anyone to call. But after watching a few YouTube videos of “how to unclog without a plunger” and I managed to get it down without making a splash outside of the toilet.

Was trying to reach the hotel to get information on our stay. I could not get a hold of anybody for four days left messages emailed nobody called me. A before I got a call from a man I told him I have been trying to get someone on the phone. He did not address my concerns he was friendly enough. I told him it was very important to have an amazing room since were celebrating my husband‘s birthday as well. I think he thought I said give me the worst room! This place was a dump no one was on site. They sent you directions how to get in the room and get it. 2nd red flag!!!.The rooms smelled like Favoloso or cleaning stuff trying to mask the stale smell. It was so overpowering that we had to keep the door open since there was no windows in the room. I got a hold of somebody and told her the the situation she gave me a new code for Another room.The room was bigger and it wasn’t as Overpowered with the cleaning stuff but you could still smell the under smoke of the room. The shower was so small my husband did not fit since we were coming from out of town he needed to take a shower. The shower head squirted out water everywhere from the top the water wasn’t coming straight down. He ended up getting water in the whole bathroom mirrored, toilets, floor it was a mess. I called again and told Ramona she said she was one of the mangers We were overwhelmed Next day we left this dump!She said to call and get our money back from where I booked!!

Really basic, with flaws.
Stardust is cute, and well located. But even calling it a hotel is a stretch. My experience highlighted many flaws. Overall condition of the room, especially the part where the closet and bathroom are located, is quite worn. Tile floor there pockmarked with chips. Bathroom is a real challenge. There is almost no room to put anything on chipped vanity sink. Hair dryer is dangling off wall. Wall between sink and wall peeling. Towel rack came off wall. Shower stall is very small. Anyone taller than 5' 10" and larger than 200 pounds would likely find very uncomfortable. Toilet ran first two days, had to remove tank top and adjust with both hands in water before fixed. Both outdoor noise (some compressor somewhere) and other tenant noise is abundant. I could hear my upstairs neighbors walk above. Deadbolt really doesn't work. And given other lock is merely a doorknob twist, no real security given window on french door. Be aware, Stardust offers very limited services. Regular maid cleaning is only every OTHER day. There is no onsite front desk or regular staffing. On plus side, bed was comfortable, people I dealt with were pleasant (on phone or cleaning staff), room is bright through french doors at pool (tho no privacy if drapes let in light). Finally, hotel really looks as if it were assembled piecemeal. Each room has a different french door set-up, as if doors were purchased one off in surplus.

I received an email a couple of days before my reservation instructing me to confirm my reservation in order to receive check-in instructions. Weird. But I did it - I left two voicemails. I emailed. Nothing. I started worrying I'd arrive and have nowhere to stay so I booked at another hotel. I finally received check-in instructions on the evening of the night I was supposed to stay there - the email said the instructions would also be sent by text - that never happened. I told them I was staying elsewhere. The hotel tells me they got behind because of the holidays and they refuse to refund me. Shady operators.

This is a small older hotel well located and close to restaurants, downtown and 10 minutes from the airport. My room was large, had a very good king sized bed, two spacious closets, a good tv and a terrific rain shower large walk in shower. And a refrigerator and desk. Only thing missing was a comfortable chair for tv watching. I remedied that by bringing in a chair from the pool area at night and putting it back in the morning. It was too cool to swim but there is a smallish but nice pool surrounded by hypos lounge chairs. Maid service is revised every other day. I would stay there again.

The Stardust was on a quiet street, a short drive from downtown Palm Springs restaurants and shops. Some dining places were within walking distance. The room was simple and good for our short, first time visit to Palm Springs. The bed was comfortable, room was quiet. The pool was nice and clean. Since they use a self-check-in system, we never met the staff upon arrival or departure. For two of us for two nights, there was only a ridiculously small bar of soap and one coffee packet for the coffee maker. That was our only complaint.

This place is just very tired. I was hoping that it would be cozy. Instead, it was all concrete. The strangest part was the fact that there is no staff on duty. I wanted a drink upon my arrival and found out their ice machine is broken. It was disappointing.

Romantic getaway
We have stayed at this hotel before and always had a great time! They try to give you anything within their means that you need. Very quiet, adults only. Great for a weekend away with your significant other. We will book again next year!

There were bugs dying every where. I think they had recently sprayed. Water pressure, little to none. Pool was almost milky looking. Staff was amazingly helpful. It was off season so maybe that was the reason. Location was great, walking distance to many many things. Price point was great. Just some TLC and let the water flow....thanks

Great little get away spot
My daughter and I wanted to have a little "girls weekend" before she gives birth to her first child in about a month. We chose the Stardust based off of pictures and some reviews. We were not disappointed. It is an adorable little place (10 rooms) with a nice pool. There isn't any front desk staff after a certain time, so you get sent the codes to get in the gate and in your room. The room is very clean, large and comfortable. It is nice and quiet and has a nice view of the mountains. We felt very safe sitting in the pool in the evening because of the locked fence surrounding the entire property. I plan on going back with my husband soon for a romantic weekend

Somewhat dingy, somewhat run down. Lacking charm. This is simply not a 3-star facility. No amenities, small basic tv, tiny bathroom not updated for decades other than a coat of paint. Tiny shower stall, glad I'm average weight. Larger people would constantly touch the sides of the shower stall. Small parking area with about 4 spots. I had to park on the street, where there was enough parking. The business model consists of only email instructions for check-in and no onsite reception. There are a number of far more attractive properties in PS for the same or lower price. Bed was fine, I slept reasonably well. Problems with A/C that other reviewers complained about seem to have been resolved, at least in room #6. In general not nearly as nice as portrayed in photos.

SUCKED! NO ice machine. NONE!!! THEN, at 4am an inconsiderate and disrespectful group of six (3 males and 3 females) thought laughing and yelling was appropriate while taking a late night swim with some being naked. Would have talked to the on-site staff but THERE IS NONE!!! Asked them to be respectful and a female said “this is a 24 hour pool.” I agreed with her but requested they be respectful of us around the courtyard sleeping, to no avail !!!

I loved how easy and seamless late check in was. The property seems to have been recently updated and very clean. It was a great last minute booking since I was stranded in an unfamiliar city and was able to sleep soundly and safely. My only qualms were that the water pressure in shower was incredibly weak and I had to stick my head under the water faucet to get shampoo and conditioner out. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again!

I arrived around 630pm and there is no one there after 530pm...they emailed me a code to get into the hotel and my room which was fine and then checked in the next morning...having no one there from 530pm till 8am seems odd but i didnt have any problem...cute place with only 10 rooms...older but fixed up and well maintainef...thin walls and space under doors causes you to hear EVERYTHING but guests were relatively quiet so not a problem...great sunny pool all day...small continental breakfast no meat or eggs was ok to start the day...the only ice is in the office so not available after 530pm till morning...all the staff are friendly and helpful...great quiet location...limited parking on site but lots of safe street parking...definately great value for money here...i WOULD stay here again

Old School Palm Springs
When staying here it helps to be open-minded and ready for an adventure. The staff is excellent and the property is sparkling clean but... it's an old hotel with old plumbing. Be ready for rumbling pipes in the morning shower hours and water pressure in the shower that resembles a heavy mist! (The management also keeps a toilet plunger handy.). More importantly though, the beds are comfy, the rooms are quiet, and it's a small hotel so guests tend to be.friendly with each other as they meet at the pool or in passing - a kind of camaraderie in that we all appreciate what's special about the Stardust, and overlook the fact that the ice machine is in the office, and the office closes at 5.

Loved the vintage vibe, did not love the noisy vintage wall unit air conditioner. Or the bathroom window that leaked hot air into the room. Or the vinyl flooring that had cracks in it from where the ends did not meet each other. For the price I was expecting more. I have been in Motel 6 rooms that were more pleasing. But the pool and outside setting of the motel is really cute. The staff is really friendly.
