“Ocean city retreat”
Had a wonderful stay in Ocean City. Thanks to Expedia, I got a good deal on a wonderful hotel. The room was huge with a nice view to the boardwalk. I was very satisfied the weekend I stayed in OC. Looking forward to my next trip, and I will definately use Expedia who saved me a ton of money.
“Great bargain on a terrific room in a perfect location!”
We were so happy with our stay here! Our trip was in mid-April so we got a terrific price, but we had to deal with some minor construction/renovation going on. Still, it was a great place to stay. When we arrived the parking was ample and easy to access, staff at the desk was very friendly and the check-in was fast. Then our room (Ocean View Efficiency) was HUGE, with a full kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Dishes and cooking pans were provided as well. The beds are very comfortable and the decor is pleasant and tasteful. I especially loved the gorgeous tile floors. The showerhead made a squeaking noise as older showers tend to do, but otherwise the amenities were nice. The balcony was somewhat small, so I would recommend upgrading to the Oceanfront rooms if you can, but the view was still very nice from inside the room. Right on the boardwalk, so beach access was great. I highly recommend this hotel to any travelers! It's a great place for a great price!

Great Hotel for the money! Room was clean, Pools could be cleaner and one bed was falling apart, but overall nice staff and location.

This hotel was very nice and clean. Our room had a great view of the ocean and broadwalk. We were so close to Sunfest that we would stay there again. We parked our car when we got there and never moved it again.

My husband and i had a great stay! PERFECT LOCATION as well. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were kept nice and clean. I will definitely be staying there again!!

I see that there is alot of bad reviews here but i do not understand and now do not believe them. This hotel was very clean and the rooms were big. I had a very enjoyable stay there. I will definitely go back
“Repeat visitors”
We stay at Tidelands everytime we come to Ocean City and compared to other OC hotels this one is the best for your money and location. With that being said, please realize, it's still and ocean hotel. Check in is at 3:30 and we arrived around 10am. We were given a parking pass so we could park on-site and enjoy the beach while the rooms were cleaned. They also took my cell number so they could call us when the room was ready which they did around 2ish. All of the staff were very friendly We stayed in a two bedroom suite. The mattresses are cheap but then you aren't staying at the Hilton down the street which is more than double the room rate. They did upgrade to fitted sheets a couple of years ago thank goodness since I was tiered of fighting with the flat sheets they'd used previously. My 11yo had a bit of a fit since the sheets for the pull out bed he was sleeping on looked like something had been spilled on them, but they were clean. They were still hot from the dryer when she delivered them. I do a bedbug check in every room I stay in as one of my many precautions and didn't notice any evidence of them. Only a short walk to the games and rides on the boardwalk and tons of places to walk and shop or eat at. We recommend not moving your vehicle once you've found a spot. Stay there, ride the bus for $2 (all day per person). You don't have to deal with traffic, you can enjoy an extra adult libation at dinner, and you won't be stalking parking spots later. We'll be back.
