“Great Service”

Hotel 91 is a little off the beaten path as it is located in Chinatown but still in Manhattan so not too inconvenient. The staff was very friendly and considerate, I showed up before 10:00AM to ask when would be the earliest I could check in and they checked me in right then! I was impressed because in many years of traveling I've never been able to check in before noon. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, nice bathroom. There is absolutely no view, not even an alleyway or brick wall of another building - perhaps for climate control or to dampen noise the window was completely covered with insulation on the exterior.

“Economical, Efficient, Clean, and Friendly - No Frills”

This is the perfect hotel for someone who wants to be treated respectfully, but also does not want to pay for or be bothered with a high service orientation. They are new and still working out some cosmetics; it looks like they are working on a lounge/lobby area. We found that the room was adequately sized for someone not spending the day in it. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, the bathroom was very clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful both in giving directions, the general checkin/checkout process, and in general conversation. The hotel kept our bags before we checked in and after we checked out free of charge. It is conveniently located within walking distance of historic Seaport and Battery Park, as well as subway stops within a few blocks.

“Very nice NEW hotel”

I had read a couple of positive reviews of this hotel but not not prepared for the quality vs price. The hotel is brand new and everything is tiptop, very friendly staff, good location for downtown or subway. I would deffinately recommend it. Don't be put off by the low price - it's a great deal.

“Great location-A full mind expanding experience”

The hotel is not on the edge of China town. It is in the middle of China town. We loved it. Great value. New enough, clean enough, friendly enough. Not a 5 star, but we were out an about all over New York. Close enough to the subway and a very interestin place to walk. Just a few blocks from Little Italy and the Financial District. Go there

“Location Location Location”

A clean and new-looking room. Small, no frills. A bathroom, bed, and TV. Not the Plaza, but the Plaza is not in Chinatown -- a short walk to the Lower East Side, to Little Italy, and a little longer walk to what used to be called Greenwich Village, and the finacial district. If you are in NY to walk around and see cool neighborhoods and restaurants, this is the place. You can hear the subway and bridge, but it did not disturb me at all.

“Good Hotel for the money”

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Our room was cleaned and bed made with clean linen on a daily basis. Reception staff were friendly, very helpful and dealt with our enquiries. Metro 5 minutes away from the hotel. We arrived at JFK airport and got a taxi to the hotel which cost $55, taxi had seen better days and the drive was fast and uncomfortable. We used the hotels recommended car service to take us back to Newark airport which was very comfortable and the ride smooth unlike the taxi ride, cost $60. Would happily use this hotel again and would recommend it to friends.

Staff helpful Area unique dont be put off by being in Chinatown. once you get your bearings you have good access to the rest of New York and you are staying in a most interesting area The real China town not full of tourists and its so cheap to buy things there. Great Chinese-Vietnamese Resturant next door called Pho 89. You are however next to the Manhattan bridge which has trains going accross it all the time. Somehow you get used to the noise really quickly and it doesnt bother you at all This is great value for money simple but comfortable Met some really nice people staying there also taking in the New York experience!

“Great place to stay”

If you have any doubts, as i did, don't! This hotel is in a great, safe location where you can walk to Wall Street, Brroklyn Bridge, Manhatten bridge (right next to the hotel), Battery park etc etc! You can wander all of downtown Manhatten and there are some great little resturants in Chinatown. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I wouldn't definitly stay here again.

Hotel situé au bord de Chinatown. Propre, vous pouvez prendre votre ordinateur portable internet gratuit par cable. Super bien !. Le prix est abordable. En revanche il faut aimer le dépaysement et l'odeur de cuisine aux abords de l'hotel. C'est authentique. Nous y retournerons si l'occasion se présente. Le personnel est dispo et serviable. Petit snack sympa en descendant vers le pont de Brooklin tenu par un chinois cela va de soit. Bref vous pouvez y aller sans soucis..
