“Brooklyn experience”
For Brooklyn to be newly entering the market for more and varied hotels, the Sheraton was a perfect place to stay. Newly opened, there was a great effort to provide professional and upbeat services at the front desk and throughout the hotel by hotel staff. The room was well designed and very well served by housekeeping. The hotel is located in the perfect place to access several neighbhorhoods in Brooklyn. There is quite a bit of construction in the immediate neighbhorhood of the hotel---an area going through several renewal projects. It was not difficult to manage around these areas. Several subway lines were close by; the hotel was active in calling for taxis and/or cars, a service I didn't need during my stay. I'm glad to see the Sheraton in Brooklyn. It opens up my experiences for staying in the 'hood.

“Sheraton Brooklyn NYC”
I have been in NYC 3 times, but the Sheratton was by far the best stay. The hotel is located in a perfect location, just half block of the subway (lines 2 & 3), and 2 stations away from manhattan, so you're in the big apple in 10 or mins. Although the neighborhood is not wonderful its ok. We arrived all days after midnight without any issues. Despite that every dollar we spend in the hotel paid off. Beds are very comfy and room clean. Room Svc available and the personnel are VERY nice. We stayed w/ 2 kids and an infant in a crib, which was provided by the hotel. We received follow up call to ensure the crib was delived Ok and on time, as well as the sheets etc... Computers are available in the lobby w/ Internet. Also one day the printer was running out ink, and was late night. The front desk person has no issues to allow me to print on the f-desk computer, very customer service driven. I'd recommned stay here if you want to take the kiddos to NYC, and stany in na nice hotel, very close to Manhattan and at a reasonable $. Uch better that hotels I have stayed in Queens.
“This hotel is PHENOMENAL!”
I travel often for work but this was a personal trip. I have to say this is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in for the price-mannerable staff, awesome room, nice amenities, good location, I couldn't ask for a better stay. I'm glad I booked with the Sheraton.
“Such a Nice Hotel for a Great Rate”
Had never visited Brooklyn, had no idea where to stay so we chose the Sheraton Brooklyn and were ever so glad. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were immaculate (the hotel is only a year old) and it is so close to Manhattan and so many other wonderful things to see. The continental breakfast was extensive and well worth it. Some construction in the area, but nothing that couldn't be gotten around easily. This hotel is a wonderful deal and our party would certainly recommend it to anyone. We would suggest they have more listings of local attractions at the hotel and maps.
“Comfy beds”
The receptionist was very nice and let us pick if we wanted a room at a higher level or at ground level. The bathrooms and the rooms were very neat and clean. They offer coffee that is complimentary (but not the water).
“Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again”
Others have expressed dissatisfaction with the location. We had no complaints as we had researched prior to booking and knew where we were staying and what was around. We took the subway to Manhattan daily and the line for the #2 and #3 was a 2-minute walk. We were about a 15-20 minute walk from the Brooklyn Bridge. The only thing I would suggest is that if you are taking a taxi there, make sure the driver knows where he/she is going. We found that because it is a new hotel, a lot of the drivers are not aware of it (or even the street). Our driver from the airport didn't know where he was going so I had him call the hotel for directions before he started the meter. A friend who was meeting us at the hotel, her taxi dropped her off at the Marriott by the Brooklyn Bridge. She didn't realize until she had paid him that it was the wrong hotel. When she told him, he said he didn't know where it was and that she could take a different cab. She ended up getting directions from the hotel staff and walked the 5 or 6 blocks to the Sheraton. While our hotel room was a little on the small side, we really didn't need anything larger since we were only in the room to sleep and shower to get ready to go again. The bed was amazing - definitely one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in. For the price difference (comparable hotel in midtown Manhattan was approx $150/night more at the time we were there), it was well worth it.
“Loved this place”
This is a brand new hotel in a revitalizing area of downtown Brooklyn. It is about a block from the subway and two stops from Manhattan (or a $15 cab fare), so is very convenient. It is near major new office centers (Morgan, Verizon) and a lot of older buildings, some revitalized and some still to go. The hotel staff was very friendly, and quite willing to go out of their way to help. Nice lobby with free wifi and seating areas, a good restaurant, quick elevators, and the rooms were comfy, relatively spacious and QUIET (the hotel tower is 20+ stories high, and we were on the 21st floor - the entire area is relatively quiet at night). Cab arrangements in Brooklyn seem to be the only real drawback. NYC cabs will bring you to the hotel, but you won't find cabs near the hotel available to hail. There are usually several private towncars parked out front, but make sure you agree on a price (which can be everywhere from just a bit higher than a cab to a lot higher, depending on what they feel they get - our son who lives in Brooklyn says this is how it works in Brooklyn. If you call the towncar/limo company you will usually get a better price quote than the driver will give you without a reservation). But it is a minor issue overall, and since the subway is close anyway. Shop ahead for this hotel and if your plans are firm you can get a great price. We're definitely coming back here for our next visit
“Perfect thrifty alternative to ridiculous Manhattan prices”
This is a fantastic hotel - new and clean with bright common areas, shared computers and wireless. Sits off several major subway lines, and its s short walk to the Brooklyn or Manhattan bridges. Also, a hotel-recommended lot (Vic's) sits around the corner, $25 for 24 hours. Manhattans nice, but so is Brooklyn! With the money we saved on hotel and parking, we could enjoy more food and drink!
“Great hotel in Downtown Brooklyn”
Very new, nice hotel in a great location close to many subway stations. Rooms very nice and clean.
