Truly white glove hotel even to the elevator operators. (Where do you find elevator operators today?) Very responsive to you every need. Hope to stay there on our next visit. Highly recommend it.

Magnifique hôtel. Il faut absolument faire une pause thé ou café(près du bar). Pendant notre séjour, le personnel ne parlait pas du tout français à l'exception d'un maître d'hôtel le week-end.

“Excellent Hotel”

Great Hotel! Impressed with -Service (Everyone greets you and makes a concerted effort to make you comfortable) -Great rooms, wonderful beds -EXCELLENT SHOWERS!! Feels like you under a waterfall. The only criticism I have is the noise in the room. I could hear the people next to me and on the floor above me more than I would have liked. However, it was not a big deal and is to be expected in an older building.

We were very happy with the Carlyle. Service was prompt and all staff were helpful. We were on our honeymoon, and the manager sent us champagne and chocolate cake when we arrived. I note, however, that the restaurant dress code is strictly enforced.

Had a great weekend in New York and this hotel made it extra special. Everyone kept telling us to book a hotel near Times Square, its just a place to put your head down at night. We are so glad we didn't pay attention to their advice. It was slightly further out but we prefered it that way. Can't speak highly enough of great service and comfort. Would definately go back.

“The Carlyle at Christmas”

December 20th we checked in at roughly 5pm on a frigid winters night. We were welcomed by a friendly efficient staff and offered hot cocoa which was warmly accepted and delicious! The bed & bedding was so comfortable I could've stayed til New Years.

Although I like everything about the hotel, my favorite thing about staying at the Carlyle is the staff. From the doorman to the maid to the waiters to the concierge...just extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I generally don't expect that (no offense, but particularly in New York City). Just outstanding. Thank you very much. Looking forward to my next visit.

who could NOT love this hotel during the hoilday season??? it never disappoints and is in one of the best locations in new york. kudos to the entire staff for providing such wonderful service in such a fabulous place!!!!
