“Great, but far, stay with great service”
This was an excellent stay, and the people were very kind to me. It's far from the center but close to the airport. I brought my car into NY, and they let me park it there early and keep it far after checkout without problem. Very kind - I like them very much, and if I bring a car into NY again, I will almost certainly stay there again.

“Surfsid Motel -Great find”
Had a wonderful stay at the Surfside motel staff was extremely helpful and friendly my room was on the second floor overlooking the water (beautiful view) King size bed was very comfortable and room was nice and large. I forgot to schedule my shuttle pick-up but I called the hotel and they came and picked me up in 10 minutes, I was going to book one of the Airport hotels at JFK but saw that the area wasn't as nice as the Surfside Motel,I'm so glad I didn't book them.Howard beach is a beautiful neighborhood with lots of great restaurants and shopping.I wish I had more time to enjoy it. Looking forward to spending more time at the surfside and visiting Howard beach again Thanks again to the staff of the surfside motel,you guys were great Ed.
“Surfside Hotel is a great choice”
The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The room had a nice view, and the hotel was close to bus stops and places to eat.

“Flawless service!”
I had the most amazing service at the Surfside Hotel. Both the desk clerk and the shuttle driver were as friendly and helpful as could be. The hotel isn't as shiny new as some, but I actually liked the old-time vibe, and it was perfectly clean. There are also lots of good places to eat nearby. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a place to to stay near the airport.

The night clerck was really nice, when I checked in he changed my room for me, I didn't want to go upstairs because of my bags, he gave me a downstairs room. The shuttle driver was nice and friendly. The carpet looked old and stained, but it was vaccuumed and the bathroom was clean.
“Ok place due to proximity to airport”
Useful for a quick shower and travel to JFK airport. Courteous staff. Fixed internet issues and moved me into a different room. Too much noise during midnight with people walking around and talking a lot. Could not sleep properly. No breakfast but eateries within a few miles.
“Quick stop in the ciity”
It was fine for a brief stay...not the most comfortable or elegant or clean...but to crash for a nightit was just fine.
