“bed was like sleeping on a giant marsh mallow”
hotel ideal location, but think before you book transfers?from airport to hotel and back.stay clear of the blue mini buses, city shuttle service staff and drivers so unhelpfull and rude, book a taxi its quicker.
“Sweet”
Good hotel in optimal location for Times Square.... within 3 blocks of it. Also great location for a walk to broadway shows. You can also walk to restuarant row on 9th street... a lot of great restaurants there. The room was huge and clean. Good price. Also, you can leave your bags there for $1 per bag and come pick them up whenever you are ready to leave... the bellhop is the 24 hours. Would definitely go back and stay here.
“Very Family Friendly!”
I brought my 10 year old daughter to NYC for her first visit and since it was summer we just had to have a hotel with a pool. Our room was extremely spacious and the hotel associates were great. Even helping me print my theater tickets when the internet in our room wouldn't work - it was by an outsourced company who quickly refunded my money when it did not work. About 3 blocks from Times Square in a quiet neighborhood. Only breakfast at the hotel but the whole area was surrounded by terrific restaurants plus a great grocery store on 8th & 49th. Little fridge in the room was terrific for chilling drinks since it was 90 degrees most days. We loved the pool which offered a gorgeous view of the sun setting each evening we were there. When we go back to NYC we will be staying at the Skyline. Parking was only cheapest of any of the hotels I looked at. Thanks for making my daughters 1st stay in NYC fantastic!
“Very happy with the hotel”
The room was a good size for 3 people. It’s at great location to go to TS, restaurants and subway stations. We really felt safe there.
“Large room by NYC standards, lovely bathroom, very cheap parking”
Our room was the largest we've had in NYC and the bathroom was lovely. Helpful staff - the desk clerk gave us Metro passes left by a previous guest, for example. The location was convenient for getting in and out of the city by car and the parking garage, which was right next to the hotel and was inside parking, was unbelievably cheap! The one thing that bothered my husband was that the neighborhood wasn't exactly charming, but it was close to a subway stop and this didn't bother me - we didn't plan to hang around the neighborhood anyway. I'd stay again for sure.
“Great quality-price ratio”
Very well situated, near Time Square and Central Park.Close to a subway station.Very clean and comfortable for its price.I recomend this hotel.
“would definitely stay there again”
Location was great - staff was courteous - rooms were clean enough - a/c didn't seem to work as well as it should, but it is definitely a place worth staying again.
“Great Location”
We were very pleased with this hotel, the beds were comfortable and the room clean. We were only minutes away from Times Square, theatres and subway. We walked everywhere and had a great time.
“High Flyer!!”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, on our arrival we were a little dissapointed the hotel didn't have a bar, but the restaurant and bar facilities were closed for refurbishment. Couldn't really complain about this hotel, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the TV was amazing!!! there was no noise at night apart from the usual noise from the air conditioning unit but that could be turned off, there was an in-room safe, and the rooms were well cleaned. The concierge was extremely helpful, as were the reception staff. So overall a good hotel!! would definitely consider the skyline next time!!
“Lots to offer for the price!”
Although this hotel is older and could use a "face lift," its location right near many of the Broadway theatres, its HUGE rooms and its extremely reasonable cost make this hotel my family's favorite place to stay in NYC.
