“Great holiday!”

This hotel is amazing, the rooftop bar is brilliant and the hotel is superbly situated just off Time Square. The STAR concierge will book all good restaurants for you. I would go back and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The rooms were a little bit small, but the location was excellent and the service and staff were top notch. Nothing bad to say about this place, and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the busy Times Square area.
“Fantastic NYC Hotel - In The Middle of EVERYTHING!”
The Sanctuary Hotel was FANTASTIC! Within a 3 block walk you can be in Times Square, Rockefellar Center, Radio City Music Hall, connection to the Subway, and a good variety of quick, inexpensive restaurants. About 10 minutes by foot away you are at the south end of Central Park, and 5th Avenue shopping. And...the hotel was very quiet, very clean, and all of the staff were extremely friendly. We will definitely be staying here again...and have already recommended it to a number of our friends and family.

“Hotel Sanctuary is truly sanctuary”
We found that even though it was still in the process of development (that doesn't mean construction) this was one of the most enjoyable stays we've had in NYC. (They are working on extending the hotel and adding a bar and restaurant.) Convenient location is an understatement. Helpful staff went over and above. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
“Justin and Nicole stay at sanctuary”
We stayed at the sanctuary for it's location and competitive rates. We where blown away by just how warm and welcoming the staff are. We had stayed at two other locations on our honeymoon and not one of them made us fill as welcomed as what the sanctuary did. All staff members where genuinely interested in our day and what we where up too. The concierge lady was amazing and the door men so helpful. We where also surprised buy the inclusions that we had not gotten from our other hotels, these where breakfast and wifi Internet access. 11/10 just brilliant already have recommended this hotel to the in-laws.
“Great Hotel”
First time staying at Sanctuary Hotel but will definitely return. Although still going through final renovations, hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable experience. Centrally located with subway stop on same block, very short walk to all mid-town activities, many restaurants 2 minutes away. Housekeeping staff was the best I have ever seen and rooms were very clean and cozy. Can't wait to return later this year.
“"1st Time in New York"”
This was my first visit to New York, and I will definitly go back.. The Sanctuary Hotel was wonderful!! It is the former "Portland House" hotel but they have done a complete renovation. They were still in the middle of the renovation when we arrived which was a little disappointing since we were told it would be completed and ready by the first of May when I made the reservations in March. Our trip was from May 19-23 and they still had not completed the resturant or the bar area. Not a big deal, also some areas of the Lobby were still under constuction as well. Rooms were small but hey your in New York. Room and bathroom were spotless and clean. Beds were new and comfortable. I would definitly stay there again. Once the renovation/constuction is done the hotel will be beautiful.. Hotel is located around the corner from Time Square and there is a subway stop located on the corner as well.
