“Not good”

The bed was clean and did not contain bed bugs, but the hotel overall lacked quality. The service was poor and the hotel lacked most basic amenities in the room to include closets, ironing boards, and irons. It as very difficult to travel from the hotel to other parts of the area due to a lack of public transportation. Cabs were rare and car services were rare and quite pricey.

“Smokey”

I am a lifelong non-smoker, and rooms I ended up in [had to switch because of cigarette smoke] all had ashtrays. Did not sleep comfortable because they saturated the room with a pungent air freshener, had to open the window for hrs. I asked mgmt for a non-smoking room, and was told it was a good room, which I eventually switched, but the 2nd room also had ashtrays and smell of cigarette smoke. My guess is non-smoking rooms were not available!

“Poor management”

The location of the hotel is very convenient, there is a bus service from the front of the hotel that takes you to the subway station, the rooms were clean as we checked in, overall we were satisfied given the reasonable price in that long weekend. But we are NEVER going back to this hotel because of the management. They were very very rude and irrespecutful to us. Whenever they talked, they were just yelling at us and accusing us with all wrong mistakes on their part. We had friends arriving at different times, so we asked for an additional key to the room and keep one for the friends. They said they will allow anyone to enter the rooms as long as they tell main customer's name. But I received call from my friend that they were not letting her in and yelling at her. That was totally unacceptable as I told them twice that we are expecting her. They did not come to the room to change the sheets and towels, and the AC unit was not working. I will not recommend this hotel anyone, as the management will spoil your whole day with their harsh behavior at the beginning of your day.

“Scary night in Queens”

We ended up at this motel during the blizzard of Oct 2011 so we didn't have many choices. You could only imagine a motel like this in a movie: a movie about drugs and prostitution. Inch thick plexiglass between "reception" and the desk clerk. Squishy carpets. Signs reminding you that no illegal activity is allowed on the premises. There was even a sign saying that smoke detectors for rooms were available for asking at the desk. As if I'd dare ask. And don't even think about leaving the hotel to get food or drink. Very scary neighborhood. The other people who came in looking for a room while we were waiting to check in were of dubious character and we were happy to get behind our locked door. On the good side: it was remarkably quiet and it has been 3 days since we got home and there are no signs of bedbugs!
