“Small but wonderful”
I lived in NYC for 4 years and came back with my boyfriend for a short stay. Of course the room was tiny, but that's how it is in NYC. We weren't in there except to sleep, so it was fine. Clean, properly lighted, big comfy bed, well appointed bathroom, a nice and simple but limited breakfast, safety deposit at the front desk where there were wonderful to call us a cab to the airport. HEY, now it's a flat $45 to got from anywhere in NYC to JFK. Would stay again.
“Will definitely use this Holiday Inn Express again when visiting in NYC”
Staff was friendly and accomodatling. Room was modern, comfortable and clean. Wireless internet wasn't working for us, but we were able to use the hotel computer area to get the info. we needed online. Very comfortable stay, conveniently close to subway.

Visiting family in Brooklyn -- this was a great location for that PLUS for traveling into the city.
“New York Holiday Express”
Great hotel for the price with great access to the subway system. Not on the best street, but just stroll up to 5th or 4th ave (instead of staying on 3rd ave) for a more scenic and maybe safer area. Staff was extremely courteous and let us check in 3 hours early and were very helpful with directions.

My answers are based on how I rated the hotel with respect to other 3* hotels. I could not give a 5* rating to location because it is in the business section of Brooklyn, not some ritz big time luxery hotels area in more sophisticated cities. But I walked twenty minutes from the hotel to my point of destination and back at all times of day (as late as 11:30 p.m.) every day and never experienced any unease.
“Nice Brooklyn Hotel”
staff was great and very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean. Rooms were a little small but adequate. Free breakfast in the morning was a plus. Free Wifi was great. Close to train station. Also close to some tasty restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location (200 m to subway station, surprisingly clean rooms and good service. Neighborhood a bit nasty...but you can't have it all

“Affordable stay in NYC”
The hotel location makes it an easy access point to the city. Convenience of a subway stop on the corner makes it easy to get to Manhattan.
“Great small hotel - clean and simple”
From check in to check out, everything was exactly as I would have expected. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the maid service excellent and even the "help yourself" breakfast was fresh and satisfying. The surrounding neighbourhood is a bit run down, but safe. Access to the subway was within 200 yards , so transport to and from Manhattan was easy. We had a great week there - lots to see and enjoy in Brooklyn too.
