“Great Hotel”
This was my second stay at this hotel and it was great again. Staff was courteous. Room was clean. Fitness center was adequate. I know the neighborhood and it is OK. If you wish to stay near JFK, this is the place to stay. The cost was great and the hotel is convenient to the Van Wyck Expressway to either go north to the Bronx and Long Island or South to JFK Airport. Highly recommend to all.
“Great place to stay”
It's probably one of the cleanest hotels in NY in this price range. The room was very clean, the breakfast was nice.
“Great value.”
The hotel was very clean and quiet. The subway station was about a five minute walk, which gave us access to everything we wanted to see and do, without having to pay the high price of staying around the tourist attractions. The wireless internet was faster than most hotels we have stayed at, and a business center was available to print boarding passes free of charge. The room was a bit small, but the bed was comfortable, and we slept great every night.
“Nice Hotel”
If you are in a budget this hotel is the best. Room very clean with a fridge, microwave and TV very comfortable. Is very close to subway station 20 minutes ride to Manhattan, which sound far but trust me you do not even notice the time going.
“I stayed there twice”
The room has a frig and microwave, free parking, & a breakfast a person could survive on, which is a requirement for me. Easy access to the interstate.
“A farily priced good hotel”
Nearby 5 min walk to subway station, nice neighborhood, good breakfast, free internet, clean room, fairly new decorations. A price conscious, satisfying choice. Will go back if travelling again.
“Great location”
This hotel is located very close to a subway station, and the trip downtown takes only about half an hour. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean and well maintained. Strongly recommend.
“Would stay there again”
We stayed at the Best Western Jamaica in for two nights 5-21 to 5-23. We arrived a bit early and got a room with no problem. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was nice. We forgot toothpaste, and they provided some. The breakfast was decent. The waffle maker is pretty cool. The woman who maintains the breakfast area was not at all friendly. The hotel is close to two subway entrances. The ride to Manhattan was not bad at all. The only issue that I had was that I requested a non-smoking room and could smell cigarette smoke from my room, however, I requested the room on Expedia and never confirmed that it was non-smoking when we checked in. We saved a lot of money. We stayed a third night in Tribecca for a wedding, and that hotel was twice the price.
“NYC Labor Day Vacation”
Our 6-night stay at the Best Western Jamaica was very enjoyable. Each of the front desk clerks and the manager were very helpful and friendly. As this was our first visit to New York, we needed some pointers on where to go for the subway to Manhattan. Their advice was perfect. The breakfast room was very inviting, and the food was great. Our only suggestion is that the king bed and a large comfy office chair were too large for the room. One queen bed would have been fine. Thanks! and we'll probably be back when we visit our daughter again.
“Convenient for NY sightseeing”
I stayed with my family for two nights. The hotel is conveniently located from NY Subway and LGA, so we could make the most of our time. It met all my criteria, viz., affordable rates, location near a subway, free wireless, free breakfast and free car parking. I will strongly recommend it for families who have a similar need. The neighborhood did seem a bit scary, especially at late nights, but there was no incident. Thanks to Expedia for making our NY stay memorable !
