“Excellent”
Excellent in every respect. No further discussion needed.
“Beautiful room, hotel and view!”
The room was over sized and beautiful, even if it wasn't on the water. I had a Queen sized room (2 beds) and there was enough room to have a party for 20 in there. The vanity area outside the bathroom was a nice touch and the bathroom was nice and large. The hotel is beautifully situated right on the ocean and has fantastic views. The staff was overly attentive (in a good way). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Worth every penny...”
for a few more dollars compared to neighboring Inns, this is an excellent place to stay. from comfort, ambience and staff courtesy. Valet parking was free, a surprise in this day and age. Bed was very comforatble, but could have used more pillows.
“Special occasion”
Fabulous hotel. Everyone we encountered were very pleasant and professional. Spent two nights, ate at the new Scooners restaurant, great, but very expensive. I did The spa experience and was very pleased. The rooms were very clean and the room service was great. Over all a fabulous place to stay for a special occasion. But very pricey.
“Wonderful!”
This hotel was beautiful and we would definitely stay here again!
“A great seashore sojourn”
Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The hotel looks beautiful and we loved our room with windows above the beach. It was wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up (on my birthday) and look for sea otters through the binoculars thoughtfully provided in the room. The spa located in- and out-of-doors on the fifth floor makes exercising is fantastic.
“The only negative”
The only reason I gave comfort a 3 is because the beds are much too soft. I require a much firmer mattress. Other than that the room is huge and very comfortable and I was traveling with my 2 daughters and we had 2 double beds in the room. Bathroom was very clean and modern and my daughters loved the bath robes in the room too.
“Birthday/Easter Weekend”
We visited the Monterey Plaza hotel over Easter for my husbands 50th birthday and had a superb experience. I selected it after looking for the best hotel in Monterey. Concierge Johnny E. was outstanding and assisted with reservations at several restaurants and events for which we received excellent service and the best tables. We inquired about a room upgrade as we'd booked 1 room for 4 of us and were offered a 2 room combo for a very reasonable price. The upgraded rooms had a spectacular ocean view with a balcony right over the water. It was very quiet, spacious and well appointed. As a birthday gift, we received a complementary bottle of sparkling wine for us and sparkling apple juice for the children (14 & 11) plus chocolate strawberries. A very nice touch. Dinner at Schooners was delicious with excellent service. The spa was very tranquil and the hot tub/fireplace area has a beautiful view of the harbour. I can see why this hotel receives awards and accolades; it's well deserved. We enjoyed it as a family but would be perfect for a couples get away as well. We'll be back for the whole package that Monterey Plaza offers.
“Great stay at Montery Plaza Hotel”
Hotel accommodations and staff were excellent. We wanted to visit the Aquarium were suggested that we could purchase the tickets at the hotel and were able to enter through the member entrance to avoid the long lines. This was a great service since it was Spring Break and with all the other visitors to the area provided a great convenience and time saver to enjoy the Aquarium more.
“Fantastic Stay All Around!”
This hotel is wonderful! It's right by the ocean, located in historic cannery row, and is within walking distance of some great restaurants as well as the Monterey Bay Aqaurium.
