This waterfront getaway is steps from the shops, galleries, and restaurants of Cannery Row. Guests can stroll to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fisherman's Wharf, Lovers Point Beach, wineries, and other attractions via the Monterey Recreation Trail, a coastal walking and bicycling path right outside the hotel entrance. 17-Mile Drive begins just 2 miles away, and world-class golf is within 6 miles.
The hotel sells aquarium tickets that provide admission for 2 consecutive days for the cost of a one-day ticket. Ticketholders are also able to bypass the long lines — a boon for guests traveling with children.
Guests enjoy complimentary Continental breakfast for 2 delivered to their rooms each morning. Complimentary cookies and fruit are served in the lobby in the afternoon. The inn has 2 spa tubs, and offers complimentary wireless Internet access in both public areas and guestrooms. Business amenities include business services and 300 square feet of meeting facilities.

Decor is elegant and modern, with cherry-wood furniture, rich textiles, crown molding, and brushed-nickel accents.
All rooms are smoke-free. Rooms are not air-conditioned, but Monterey enjoys mild, comfortable weather year-round.

Complimentary Continental breakfast for two is delivered to guestrooms each morning on a tray with fine china and linens. Guests select from a menu the night before. Choices include freshly baked pastries, muffins, orange juice, fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, and tea.

The waterfront Recreation Trail, right outside the hotel, attracts runners, walkers, and bicyclists.
Pebble Beach Golf Links, Del Monte Golf Course, Links at Spanish Bay, and other world-class courses are within six miles.
Point Lobos State Reserve, seven miles away, offers hiking trails with spectacular views of the rugged coast. Sea lions, harbor seals, and more than 150 bird species—from hummingbirds to herons—are among the animals inhabiting the reserve.

“Ocean View and nice and quiet”
The only downside was the jacuzzis were being repaired so we couldn't use those. But it was so cold that week we probably wouldn't have used them anyway unless they were indoors. (we didn't bother to check where they were once we were told they were down).
“Montery Bay Vacation”
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We loved the ocean view from our balcony and the free breakfast that was brought to our room every morning. This is one of the nicest hotels that I have been to. I don't have any complaints. I have been telling everyone this is the place to stay.
“Right at the waters edge.”
Good location, close to the wharf, downtown, and the aquarium. Easy in and out parking. Hotel sits right at the waters edge. open the slider door and hear the waves all night . Comfy bed, clean room, and breakfast brought to your door.
“Steinbeck would have smiled”
We love Cannery Row, and the Monterey Bay Inn is right at the north end. We were doing research at the aquarium, which is a must-see. The inn's beds are cozy, the binoculars a great addition. The bathroom is past accommodating. The front desk was prompt and knowledgeable, and they have a place to park yourself. Go, you'll love it!
“Loved it!”
My boyfriend and I visited Monterey one night while we were driving down the coast. We stayed at the Monterey Bay Inn and loved every second. Our room (and most of their rooms) had a beautiful view of the bay. The hotel is within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. It has 2 hot tubs - one on the roof over looking the ocean and one on the second floor next to the fire pit. They also deliver breakfast in bed - it was so delicious and romantic! This is a wonderful hotel and I can't wait to go back!
“Best Stay Ever!”
My husband and I travel frequently and have been to many hotels. This was by far the best service, well kept, vlean I cannot say enough good things about it!!!! Thanks!!!!!
“Everything as expected and more”
Upon check-in, they upgraded us from Cannery Row view (which would've looked like a loading dock) to harbor view. We had a nice sized balcony with a beautiful view. The hotel even provides binoculars so you can see up close the scuba trainees getting pushed back onto shore by the big waves. :D The bathroom counter is exactly as the photos on Expedia. The lighting in the bedroom is also very nice (although we had problems finding some of the switches, our bad). Nice bed, pillows. Lots of soap. :) The jacuzzi on the fourth floor is awesome. The ocean view is breathtaking. You may even see a whale! There were no one there when I first checked it out around 2p on Saturday. But it was a rainy winter weekend so I doubt you can get some alone time otherwise. I didn't get my robe on and go for a dip until 9a Sunday morning. My husband and I shared the space with a friendly couple. We enjoyed both the jacuzzi and their company. Overall, it was a very positive experience. My husband wants to come back the next time we visit. But who knows, maybe I'll get a great deal at a new place. After all, I have a magic touch. ;)
“Liked it so much we plan on returning within weeks”
The hotel was exactly as described. Rooms were elegant and the view was incredible. Add the wonderfull continental breakfast and the balcony in the morning and it was like being a movie star.

My husband and I enjoyed a late lunch at a brew pub on Cannery Row, recommended by the hotel's desk clerk. We sat by the window and watched the people walk by as we drank ice cold beer and planned our evening. The garlic fries as an appetizer was filling and nibbled until thedesk clerk called to tell us the room was ready . Strolling back to the hotel, the air was cool, a nice change from the Sacramento summer heat, the sky clear and brillantly blue and the crowded street bustled. As we strolled back to the hotel, we looked at the menus for restaurants along the Row trying to pick-and-choose for dinner that first evening. The desk clerk greeted us by name when we walked in the door and gave us the room key. "I'm sure you'll be most happy there. I'm glad you waited. It's a beautiful room." And it definitely was. When we entered the room, it smelled fresh and clean. The decor was exquisite, the bathroom very spacious, and as promised the view was 'to die for'. I regret having only booked two nights. Had I known the comfort and beauty that awaited us, I would have booked a week's stay. Next time I will. And if you're wondering what that room number was? Keep guessing. I'm keeping that secret, but I will divulge one hint: you want a room in the back.
