Property Amenities
With its rich history and Art Deco charm, the President Hotel, designed by L. Murray Dixon, is a non-smoking boutique hotel located on the vibrant Collins Avenue. The hotel is located within the Art Deco District of South Beach, only one block away from the sandy beaches and just a few steps from Lincoln road or the area's popular shops, clubs, and restaurants.
The hotel offers a relaxing patio with a refreshing splash pool, as well as access to its sister property, the Penguin Hotel, located directly behind the President Hotel on Ocean Drive.
Wired and wireless Internet access are available (surcharge).

Rooms
All 64 Art Deco rooms feature a different canvas with a scene from nature covering one entire wall. Tile flooring and high quality amenities can be found in each room, as well as Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers that add a touch of elegance. Guestrooms are equipped with plasma TVs, wireless internet access, mini refrigerators and electronic safes. A fourth floor with Penthouse suites was added during a recent renovation by a French designer. Penthouse suites feature oversized round beds. Two suites have private balconies.
Dining
The Green Restaurant and Bar - Located in the lobby. Serves cocktails, soft drinks, and smoothies as well as breakfast, and lunch, inside or on the front porch. Lunch selections include sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and paninis.
Recreation
Guests can relax and cool off in the courtyard garden with its small splash pool.
The beach is one block from the President Hotel and beachfront concessions offer water-sports equipment including WaveRunners, parasails, banana boats, kayaks, and Wind Surfers (surcharge). Lummus Park, which borders the beach, has a children's playground and sand volleyball courts. The Miami Beach Golf Club is open to the public and is within two miles of the hotel.

“soft beds”
Everything was great except the beds were a bit too soft for my back. I would go back there in the future. very nice, otherwise...

Excellent location. Lots of character. Clean rooms. Price was right. Too bad the lobby bar was never open.
“Great Location/Price/Staff, A Little Dirty”
If you want a hotel in South Beach for a great price, there can be no better value than The President. It's a one-block walk to the beach, the staff are very helpful, the happy hour's one of the best in town, and the bar/lounge area is fantastic. It's a beautiful old hotel - just keep in mind that it's Old when you see your room. Still very highly recommended.

“Fully renovated and clean hotel in SoBe”
This hotel is a bargain for the area. Our room faced Collins, a busy street, but we hardly heard the traffic. The entire hotel is tiled and kept immaculately clean. The bathroom is modern and includes two shower heads. The sheets are luxury cotton and new, a novelty for the area. The rooms include refrigerators for snacks and beverages. My one complaint is that the beds are mattresses on floating wooden platforms, not box springs, which is a little uncomfortable.

“Love the decor!”
Super close to the beach - only about a one minute walk around the corner, which was amazing! The green and white theme is bright, cheery and unique. Love the nature backdrops to the rooms. The stand-up showers were PHENOMENAL! Amazing pressure, a window I could open while I showered which was cool (not on ground level so nobody could see in). Just loved it in general. The only unlovable parts included the tiny tiny elevator - could barely fit two ppl with luggage - and the not so clean pool in back patio area. Nice place to sit though. Not fancy but all I needed - Great price for the location and quality.

You can't find better than that! Pros Ocean Dr. 1 min South Beach 1,5 min Price perfect! Cons Bed frame was awfully noisy! Me and my wife definitely recommend The President Hotel.
“An affordable art deco gem”
We booked this as a secret saver - and were absolutely delighted to find we were not only allocated a genuine art deco hotel but one in the centre of the action. Top marks for a 3 star hotel.
“Very Nice!”
I absolutely loved this hotel. Before booking I made some research on it and liked the idea that it was renovated and in the pics it looked really nice. On the day that we arrived, they do ask for a deposit on your card, but void it after you check out. The room was spacious, it had a big green wallpaper pic of a leaf that add greats decor to the room, plus a flat screen tv, with basic cable. The bathroom is a bit small, but its not a big problem, the shower is spacious. The room also includes a closet, it has a mini fridge and a safe. Beds were comfy, kinda squeaky, and yes you can hear the people in the next room if their loud, so it all depends how picky you are with this, over all it was nice!
