"It was just myself, my Husband and my 12 yesr old Grandson. The cottage was lovely. Very comfortable and homely. It had a warm and welcoming feel about it. Very close to shops and a short walk to the beach. Spotlessly clean and everything provided by the host for a perfect stay. We hope to go back again very soon."

As all the reviews have said it was simply immaculate, the bed linen smelt heavenly and was so comfortable. "I couldn't fault this beautiful spacious home. It had everything we needed for the perfect family get away, and the playroom and trampoline in the garden got a big thumbs up from my grandchildren. The location was great for exploring everything that West Mersea has to offer, especially the seafood! Everyone went away feeling totally relaxed! One big thumbs up for me, was that John the owner greeted me at the property in person to show me how everything worked!"

"This place could be very nice, if maintained properly. However, the lights in the living room did not work, and there was laundry hanging in the living room. We notified the owner, but did not hear back after the initial phone call. The water in the shower did not reach the showerhead, as it was leaking. So we could not shower. "There were NO towels which is not at all clear on your website. Luckily the cleaner had left the linin cupboard open. I think it is poor not to provide them, especially at the price! Also no dishwasher tablets- they are always provided and a pint of milk would have been nice. "Nice property - but easy to lock yourself out of front door if you leave the key inside. Clean and spacious You have to pick up key from estate agent in town and then pay £100 deposit... which is a bit annoying and unclear at time of booking..."

"This 2 bed apartment is in a new building. It is very spacious, clean with nice furnishings and decor. Balcony has a great view over the river estuary. Car park is secure and operated by a good security gate. This was a slight problem with the check-in link provided by host but the host recognised this and provided good communication and assistance so no real problem with actual check-in. "Lovely old cottage, furnished well with a nice kitchen having everything you need for eating in (except for a sieve or collander). Clay tiles on ground floor make the floor cold so bring slippers in low season. Some very low beams so tall people beware. Couldn't light the gas fire though. Surprised to find slow-moving bees on window sills or on floor each day when returning from day out."
