1. close proximity to train/bus but hotel should list the name of stop in the hotel info- that would have been helpful our first day 2. most staff speak some English although we speak/understand some French. 3. Room was acceptable in terms of space, no outside sound, and felt very safe in hotel and in the neighborhood. This is the first hotel I stayed inwhich there was one set of towel and was told that if I need clean towel I need to wash the ones issued myself for 6 euros to wash and dry. There was no cleaning of the room and was told that I have what to clean the room. That appears to be the policy; however, the staff was incredible with making adjustments realizing that we were not informed that this is the expectation. The hotel setup is as an apartment intended for French family staying for some time and not necessarily for oversea tourist. In the end, we made the best of it and had a great time.

Overall nice stay, good location, friendly staff
The hotel and our room were kept neat and clean. Additional hygiene measures were taken by providing desinfectant at the entrance and the elevators. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We accidentally forgot our room key in the room one day and the nice lady at the reception helped us out quickly. Everything in the room as functional (incl. AC, kitchenette and bathroom) and the bed was really comfortable! The only issue was the shower, which tended to do it's own thing regarding the temperature sometimes. Not a big deal for us though but I can see some people not being happy about it. Overall we were happy with our stay.

I stayed at this hotel twice within a month due to its proximity to friends I was visiting. Both rooms had a kitchenette that consisted on a small fridge, a microwave and a small electric plaque. There were some kitchen utensils as well as a few (3-4?) plates, cups and bowls. Pretty convenient for quick meals. The main kitchenette light under the microwave didn't work in either room I stayed. The bathrooms were clean, but the sink had very little room for toiletries for more than one guest. Both times there were problems with the magnetized card, which is needed to use the elevator. I got out after other guest entered the elevator. Funny, until it happens a second time. The receptionist checked that indeed the card didn't work in the elevator. On my second visit I had booked 2 twin beds in advance. At check in they told me my guest and I would have to share a bed; no twin beds. So beware of trusting your reservation, they won't honor it.

Nice hotel close to Metro
Enjoyed our stay and the location was very convenient. Room and floor smelled strongly of cigarette smoke which was a bit annoying but the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and satisfied.

Marseilles visit
Spent last two nights there during a two week Provence vacation. Close to the Metro line so we could avoid the traffic congestion in the Port area. Route to the airport was well marked. Room was a good size and included a small kitchen with stove, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Bathroom was modern. Close to a large grocery store. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed at hotel 31 May - 4 June. Told @ check-in 150€ credit card hold required. Not aware of this through Orbitz, but assured by staff it would be removed 24 hours after check-out. 11 days - 260+ hours later, the hold is still outstanding! I have contacted the hotel and received no reply! Infuriating. Brief summary of trip: -arrived late 31 May & given room 65 --a/c not working had to move to room 38 @ 1am! -rm 38 a/c worked -noticed & told staff- -hole in bathroom door -burn mark on bathroom floor -hand mark on room door -some sort of odd paper covering on the ceiling  -both pink throw pillows had disgusting stains on them -one of the bed's duvet covers had yellow stains on it -peeling next to the sink -no soap/shampoo in shower -floor 3 hallway - perpetually dirty and stained Staff gave me a duvet to put on bed, as well as soap/shampoo. Paper cover was removed. No other issues were addressed. Hugely disappointing.

Reception staff was friendly and housekeeping staff were superb - room was cleaned as well as the towels were changed daily. Ideal for a business trip, on the main metro line 1 - easy access to Vieux Port and tourist attractions and only tow stops away from the main train station - Gare St Charles. Easy to find from the Chartreuse Metro Station.

Nice hotel with bad management
This is the third Odalys we try, my wife and I, and we expected much of it. It is new, clean and in a good location. BUT, when we arrived, there was no Bein Sports as promised, missed the Classico and the first day of the Champions League, Wifi was not working, and I was asked to go down to the ground floor if I wanted to use internet (We were assigned a room in the 9th floor). The elevator was not working for 3 or 4 days (of a 12 nights stay), we had to take the stairs to the 9th back and forth until we explicitly ask for a room change (it was never proposed). When you do not offer what you promised to your guests, and some unfortunate things happen, the least you can do is to make some commercial gestures, NO, NOTHING, just people informing us that unfortunately we cannot use the elevator, or the wifi or watch Bein sports.

Ils ont charge 150 euros de securite et ils me n ont pas encore rembourse. C est tres embetent. Aussi, Le chauffeur qu ils ont appeles voulait charger 35 euros pour 2 kilometres. Finalmente je suis allee 25 minutes a pied. Ce n est pas une bonne pratique qu il n apelle pas un taxi regulier.
