"We only stayed for one night. We read the reviews before we booked, and were not at all disapointed. The hosts Pat, and Keith were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They greeted us with a cup of tea, and suggested a nice pub for us to eat in the evening, and booked it for us. We stayed in a room downstairs which was immaculate. The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely return."

"Excellent modernization of a 600 year old house. Comfortable. Biggest complaint would be that the shower rain head was about 1 cm lower than the top of mine. Never ran out of hot water. Maidstone Fringe Festival was a little loud the first two nights - but the location was perfect for seeing Maidstone. Excellent kitchen and ample cupboard space. The pictures online show it as it is -something I have found sadly lacking with other places like this. Internet speed faster than many mainline...

"Clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped flat in peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed our stay. The instructions for collecting the keys could have been given more prominence in the welcome email. Other than that small point this was faultless."

"Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Pub staff also, and kindly gave my father no less than 5 different tasters of beers so he could decide what to drink! Lovely quirky interior - looks small from the outside but had lots of different small dining areas inside. Only tiny drawback was the very steep hill up from the rooms furthest away from reception. I hadn't seen it flagged on anything but that may have been because I used a third party site to book online"

"Attended a family wedding. Staff, service, food and venue as a whole were all excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly, we really enjoyed our chat with the head chef (Ale) who we met outside the vegetable garden, great guy, passionate about the hotel, menu selection etc. Every meal was exceptional. Beds and rooms we very comfortable."
