"A short walk from Essen train station, the hotel is reasonable for the price. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, with good heating and air-conditioning unit, a kettle with tea and coffee, a complimentary bottle of water. My room overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel so it was nice and peaceful, facing away from the busy road. The room wasn't spotless, but it was clean enough. "Handy to train station. Good variety of food nearby. Hotel had an awesome buffet at breakfast!!"

"A very nice breakfast buffet. The shower handle is too easily touched and therefore moved while showering, causing you to find yourself in cold or hot water suddenly. It would be nice of there were some rooms with a double bed (and blankets) instead of just double single beds. I found the blankets a bit small."
