Recreation Park is right across the street. Constructed in 1917 as a private country club and opened to the public in 1931, this genteel green expanse offers 18-hole golf, a driving range, pro shop, tennis courts, playground, and playing fields. Beaches and marinas are within four miles.

“This is a good one”
This hotel has a unique decor. The rooms were rather plain but comfortable. We were in the back and it was pretty quiet. The continental breakfast was good. We were pleasantly surprised that there was complementary parking and shuttle service to our cruise. This saved us enough in parking fees to pay for one of our rooms.
“Affordable and great breakfast”
The room was fine, not extravagant, but comfortable. Our room hasn't been remodled yet, so it showed some age. The "continental breakfast" really impressed me - make your own waffles, fruit and juice besides the usual toast, cereal and coffee/tea. And when we asked for a ride to site-see in Long Beach, their van driver was very kind to take us. The service was friendly and great!

“Good hotel for the price”
This was a nice hotel, and very convenient for us with easy access. The pool looked great but we didn't have a chance to use it. The front desk was very helpful, and let me check in early and check out late. I would return to this hotel but probably won't be in the area again.

We were very pleased with the hotel. The room was clean and nice. The hotel shuttle took us to our cruise ship and picked us up after the cruise. Though we did not use the pool area, it looked lovely.

We loved staying here! We got a complimentary room upgrade when we arrived. Room was very nice and clean. Pool area was also great and we enjoyed lounging on the pool chairs. Hotel also offers free shuttle service within 5 miles which was so convenient for getting food. Shuttle also picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the Long Beach cruise terminal at no additional charge. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel with fancy rooms. Breakfast kinda of strange in conferance room. Neat restaurant near by with Brazilian buffet style food. Very nice over all.

Checked in for a few days, just to get away from home. The prices on expedia were reasonable and the stay was relaxing. I had the best sleep at this hotel.
