“excellent location”

This hotel is a great location,we took the bus from the airport$1.25 and it dropped us off right in front of the hotel.The staff were all super friendly and helpful.The rooms were big clean and in immaculate condition, flat screen tv, absolutely no complaints here.Ihave read complaints regarding the breakfast, both me and my wife thought it was great, never seen a breakfast area so clean before. would definetly stay here again.we had 2 nights here before a carnival cruise and 1 night after cruise . you can even catch the bus outside free go down a few blocks,and catch another bus out to carnival terminal for $1.25 its that simple

“Great find!”

My only complaint was the woman behind the desk upon check in. We were third in line and she was on the phone which seemed like forever. After ending the call, not once did she acknowledge the other guests, including myself, waiting in the lobby to be checked in. Otherwise, this hotel was a truly great find, a quick less than 5 minute drive to the Aquarium and tons of fun little shops and restaurants within close walking distance. Also a Vons grocery store and Subway very close by which was perfect for us. Breakfast room was quite small, but sufficient to be included in the price. Indoor pool was not heated which was a dissapointment. Otherwise rooms were exceptionally clean and parking garage was well lit, safe and secure. We travelled with our two boys, ages 11 and 1 yr, will definitely stay here again!

“A gem in downtown Long Beach”

This hotel is a great find. It's located in the East Village of downtown LB and is walking distance from so many great places from wine bars to coffee houses to great restaurants and nightlife. The hotel is less than two years old and it shows (in a good way). The rooms are immaculate and very tastefully decorated. If there is anything I can complain about, and I'm really nitpicking here; it is that the continental breakfast could use a little more variety. Other than that there is nothing I can complain about. This hotel is a great alternative to the more expensive hotels in downtown LB.

“can't wait til next year...............”

The hotal was perfect, it was in a great location. My family had a great stay we would love to stay at the hotal again. The only thing we didnt agree on was paying for two nights of parking, and they should give you more chooses for breakfast. But over all great............

“Pleasant hotel stay in Long Beach”

I had left another hotel in LB because I didn't feel safe once I'd checked in. While it had been a "suite" with more room; the BW room was well appointed, clean, with small amenities in the toiletries, furniture, and linens that made it feel more expensive than it had been. I would definitely stay in a BW hotel again; certainly this one when I return to LB.

Area recommendations

Downtown LB; other parts (as I described above) made me uncomfortable and feel unsafe.

“Excellent Business Hotel”

BW+ is an excellent choice for the business traveler. The facility was within reasonable walking distance to the LB Convention Center, Performing Arts Center, downtown LB, Pike, and waterfront eateries. It was easily accessible to freeways. The facility was in a quiet downtown neighborhood (NE corner 1st/Linden). The room was clean and comfortable, provided WiFi Internet connections, flat screen TV, and a safe; temperature controls kept room reasonably cool in the LB heat. The bed was particularly comfortable. The bathroom was clean, water pressure was very good, and hot water was available quickly. The breakfast was very basic: fruit, cereal, pastries, fruit juice, coffee/tea. Fortunately, there are a number of excellent breakfast cafes and coffee shops in the vicinity. Parking is in a secure underground garage with entrance off of 1st; permits are issued upon check-in; cost is an additional $10.00/day with in/out privileges. Limited metered street parking is available but not advisable for overnights.

Area recommendations

The LB waterfront had a variety of restaurants and is an easy walk from the hotel. For a nice day trip, Belmont Heights and Belmont Shore along the strand are enjoyable. The hotel is not particularly convenient to downtown LA or LAX, particular with LA freeway traffic, so Southbay destinations are best.

“Excellent hotel”

We were on a weekend pleasure trip to visit family in Long Beach and have stayed at this hotel before. Once again, we were very satisfied with the accommodations. Very clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
