“London trip”
Beautiful hotel, very well maintained, very comfotable, and luxurious. The only gripe is that being in central London, the prices in the Restaurant, Bar and car Parking were over the top! That said there were plenty of reasonable bars and pubs serving fair priced food and drink only across the road from the hotel.
“génial”
hotel magnifique à coté du métro . Chambre magnifique et confortable. Par contre attention tout extra est horriblement cher. Les petits dej ou un apéritif au bar vous coutera un bras. Pour le reste, du plaisir à l'état pur
“Why not?”
Absolutely splendid. Stayed only one night in preparation for an early departure for a Christmas trip via Eurostar (which in the event was cancelled - the Eurostar not the trip) but did not eat either dinner or breakfast at the hotel (£27 for breakfast?). Dinner was at Casa Mama in Grays Inn Road - friendly typical Italian and breakfast at St. Pancras. The room and facilities and friendly staff were excellent and the building is absolutely splendid. But at the prices which they charge, for me, it has to be a "special occasion" visit. Previous overnight stop for Eurostar was at the Travelodge down the road, a different experience altogether.
“A beautiful building...”
The hotel is a thing of beauty: more in the public areas than in the majority of the rooms. The rooms are fine - comfortable and clean, but not necessarily as opulent as the surroundings (or maybe the price) would suggest. The bar and meals might be on the pricey side, but it's difficult to begrudge when you can see the contribution it makes to preserving a national treasure. Tours of the hotel are free to guests - if you have time take them up on this option - it's wonderful to hear about the transformation of the hotel from someone who has been there throughout it all.
“tourist doc”
Very exquist hotel, has a feel of old london with modern amenities, near international and domestic train stations (kings cross---where harry potter was filmed), somewhat far from main city attractions. you'll to need taxi or use the undergound, or the green link, to hop on the tourist buses that go around london. overall very nice hotel.
“Excellent”
Our experience at the St. Pancras Renaissance was wonderful! We arrived earlier than our scheduled check-in time and they quickly accommodated us with a room that was available. The rooms were fantastic - clean, spacious, and well-equipped. They supply everything to make the hotel as homelike as possible including everything from fuzzy slippers and Q-Tips! The staff was always available to answer our questions. They were extremely professional, kind, and knowledgeable. We did not eat in the hotel, but the restaurants were certainly packed during the day and evening hours leading me to assume that they are good places to dine at. We picked the hotel because of it's proximity to the Eurostar terminal which is literally just beneath the hotel. Being in the heart of Kings Cross also meant that we were by almost every Underground Line and had readily accessible access to all of London. Overall, it's a fantastic hotel, we will certainly be returning, and I'd HIGHLY recommend it!
“Impressive Hotel with unique history”
Reception area impressive, reception staff seemed somewhat preoccupied - I did wonder whether this was due to the sheer expanse of the reception area that a waiting client could be overlooked. The bedrooms are so well appointed and the beds so comfortable, my daughter and I wouldn't hesitate to transport that room to our own house. We had an evening meal at The Booking Office, with a table outside (inside St P), the tables haven't been tried and tested by those who bought them, as you can't sit straight and get your legs underneath - so you have to sit at an angle to the table - even my 10 year old daughter found it uncomfortable as the chairs are too high for the tables, or are the tables to low for the chairs? The Booking Office staff - particularly those in charge of table allocation could also do with smiling alittle more - and being alittle more approachable, which is why the quality of hotel service only merits a '3' (she was quite miserable!). We wouldn't hesitate to go back though - and the location, if you are using the Eurostar can't be beaten.
“Best kept secret...for now”
Cannot believe we did not see this hotel sooner. This hotel is an absolute gem. The staff is outstanding as are the rooms and service. You are greeted by staff members with a friendly smile and a hello as you go along your merry way. They truly go out of their way to make sure you are welcome from the time the doorman greets you all the way down to the service staff. The refurbishment team really outdid themselves with recreating and preserving every detail of every square foot of the property. Don't miss the fabulous winding staircase tucked away that leads to the comfortable and uncrowded spa in the basement. Must make a note to self to wake early before the hustle and bustle outside the front of the hotel to snap off a few pictures of the hotel's exterior as the sun rises to capture the magnificence and special location of this priceless, one of a kind London hotel.
“Amazing”
Amazing unique property
“New and Old come together”
It has everything, architecture, ambience, friendly staff and easy access to two of my favorite cities in the world London (doorstep) and Paris (2H15M) by Eurostar, a civilized from of travel. Loved it!
