“Excellent choix au centre de Londres”

Le Mercure est situé dans Southwark, au coeur de Londres, juste derrière la Tate Modern, à 10 minutes à pied de St Paul, à 20 minutes à pied de la Tour de Londres. Quatre stations de métro sont à 10-15 minutes de marche, ce qui permet de se rendre facilement... partout. L'hôtel n'a pas de charme "typiquement anglais", mais est très propre, bien équipé (Internet, minibar, planche à repasser... et même parapluie les jours de pluie !), et surtout il y a du personnel qui parle français ! Pas à tout moment, mais soit le matin soit l'après-midi il y a quelqu'un qui parle français. Nous sommes restés six nuits, avec d'abord une chambre puis deux. La deuxième, au dernier étage, avait une petite terrasse ! Les deux chambres donnaient sur l'arrière de l'hôtel, dans une petite rue sûrement moins bruyante que Southwark Street. Il y a un tout petit parking de cinq places dont nous avons pu bénéficier (gratuitement !). Sinon se garer à Londres revient très cher. Nous avons pris le premier dîner à l'hôtel, plus cher que les restaurants classiques mais vraiment très bon. Les petits déjeuners sont vraiment excellents : l'english breakfest se compose de neuf plats (contre six le plus souvent) et il y a des jus de fruits frais pressés, d'excellentes viennoiseries, des fruits, des céréales... de quoi être calés pour la journée ! C'est un excellent choix que cet hôtel (le meilleur de notre séjour en Angleterre). Je reviendrai !

“Très bon choix pour un week-end à Londres !!!”

Hôtel très agréable (personnel, chambre, décor du Loft ...), petit déjeuner très bon ! proche du Tate modern en bordure de la Tamise dans quartier calme, peut-être un peu éloigné du vrai centre mais un bus ou un taxi font l'affaire ! Je recommande (en plus j'ai eu un temps magnifique ;o)

“Great hotel close to Tate Modern”

The hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly. It is about 10 mins walk from London Bridge Tube and is a short walk to the Tate Modern and all the bars and restaurants on the bankside. Would recommend.

“High class hotel of outstanding value and great location!”

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms are modern and comfortable and the hotel is only a short walk from the Tate and London Bridge. With a Pret a Manger and M & S Simply Food right on the door step, it's a perfect location. The staff are incredibly friendly and can't do enough for you. We were able to check in early and also leave our luggage until we left the next day. Excellent value for money and I would definitely stay there again!
