“OK, not great”
The room was up three flights of very narrow, short stairs. It was hard to get our luggage up, andt there was no offer of assistance. The room was not bad, but the tiolet smelled worse after it was flushed. The window was the level of the bed, and opened to the street below with no screen or bars. Dangerous for children.
“If you're a hotel snob, stay elsewhere!”
The place is a little run down... It's certainly not the worst place I've stayed have done the whole hostel thing in my poor college days. As far as London hotel rooms go, the size of the room itself was decent. I was in a room that slept 4 - 2 twins and a double bed - and had more than enough room to move around. The bathroom on the other hand, was horrendous. It was like a bathroom you'd seen inside a motorhome. I wasn't able to lift my arms all the way up without hitting the ceiling, the sink was in the way when on the toilet, etc. Very awkward to move around. However, the location was decent - just a short walk from Paddington Station where several trains and tube lines arrive/depart. Overall, the Hyde Park Court Hotel is an ok stay for the budget-minded traveler as long as you aren't looking for anything too fancy. If you're easily unnerved by questionable stains on the wall or cramped bathroom quarters, you may want to stay elsewhere.
“Some maintenance would help”
Great location, 100m from Paddington station, quiet, with small park in front, good sized rooms (18 m2 for a triple), friendly staff. But, the place is badly maintained: Shower hose leaks, closet door hinge broken, safe fallen off mount, unpainted wall patches, paint on windows, toilet was stained. Also shower/toilet cabin is cheap, staff couldn't find TV remote, and no elevator to 3rd floor.
“Old but not quaint”
The room was very small, with a tiny bathroom and had not been updated for many years. We have stayed in that neighborhood in the past in hotels with large rooms, well-maintained, antique furnishings, etc., so we were very disappointed. Fortunately it was only for one night and the location, near Paddington Station, was ideal.
“trés décevant”
Ne correspond pas du tout à un deux étoiles : lits défoncés , salle de bains minuscule et vieille , petit déjeuner infect et salle trop petite( nous ne l'avons pris qu'une seule fois ) en revanche le personnel est serviable et la situation géographique dans Londres OK
“horreur malheur”
limite sale moquette au sol superbe pour les acariens . pour avoir de l eau chaude il fallait tel a la reception et attendre un moment
“Don't stay here!!!”
Whatever you do, DON'T stay here!!! Trust me. Terrible service. After a 9 hour flight, we got off the train at Paddington from the airport and they didn't even want to give us a room! They said we were "No shows", even though it was only like 8pm. After we argued enough with the rude lady, she finally gave us a room, which was old, very small, and it SMELLED terrible! No help up to the rooms with our luggage. The list just goes on. The absolute only thing that this hotel has going for it is its location next to Paddington. It's way worth it to pay a little more for a better hotel in the area.
“not impressed”
The room was very small. The shower was broken, so we had to struggle with something as basic as trying to get clean. The drains in the bathroom stank so much that we could not sleep!!! It was horrible.
“A éviter”
La fenêtre de la chambre ne se fermait pas et le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas.
“Horrible”
Chambre minuscule, pas très propre et très mauvaise odeur
