“Recent stay”
A bit small and noisy, but overall an excellent value for the money and a great location.
“Would go stay at Henry V111 again”
I took my 14 yr old daughter to London for the first time. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The clerk actually set up our 2 trips to both Paris and Stonehenge and helped us to get to the buses and trains. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The pool was nice. It was heated and not crowded. It is located in a nice neighborhood. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“great value for the price”
Henry VIII was a great value for the money. You have easy access to the Tube, bus, and shopping. You can walk to Notting Hill for the daily market and walk in the marvelous park.
“Great London Hotel”
I was very happy with what this hotel offered, especially at the price I got on Expedia. The room was comfortable, smaller but average sized for european standards. It was a pretty nice hotel and the staff were all friendly and very helpful. The only complaint I had was that their double bed was two twins pushed together, which left an uncomfortable seam in the middle of the bed. Other than that, we were very happy.
“Loved the area”
I would definitly reccomend this hotel but not if you are a light sleeper. The train runs directly under the one end of it. We asked to be moved and they graciously did so,over to the other end. The only problem was it was on a busy street and was noisy, but nothing you can't deal with. Rooms are small but very clean. The only thing wrong is the carpet is very old and in need of repair but not an issue for us. The staff doesnt speak good English but are friendly enough. It is about five or six blocks from the Paddington rail station which means you have the tube, national rail service and the Heathrow Express right there. And it has a lift which is essential if you have heaps of luggage. We made a great choice in this hotel and for the price and location you can't beat it. I would stay there again if I ever go back.
“An enjoyable honeymoon stopover”
My wife and I had to stay in London overnight as part of our honeymoon, and decided to try the Henry VIII. We were extremely surprised at the quality of our room--it was fairly large by London standards, with high ceilings and new furnishings. The ensuite bathroom was very clean, and had all the amenities we needed.
“Easter 2010 Henry VIII Hotel, Bayswater”
Really helpful staff, nice facilities, in a great location. Really liked the place and we will go back.
“We loved this Hotel!!”
The Henry VIII Hotel was excellent in every respect. Staff were extremely helpful; facilities were great .. complete with a beautiful pool and sauna. These amenities were appreciated after a busy day of touring London. The Hotel is outside the "big City" but very accessible by Tube/Bus and a pleasant area in which to stay. We were extremely pleased as this accommodation was much larger/more comfortable than we experienced on a previous London holiday some years ago. PLUS it was cheaper! We have no hesitation in referring travellers to this Hotel and using Expedia.ca
“I'd stay there again”
Front desk service was excellent. Staff always friendly and helpful. Our room had 3 twin beds and was neat and clean. There were ceiling fans which kept us cool during an unusual hot spell. Bathroom was akward to get into if someone else was already on the potty. Breakfast was tasty and a wide variety of food was offered but it was a bit more pricey than I would choose to pay! It was definately the most expensive breakfast my family and I have ever eaten. Overall, though, I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was in a nice area of London with only a 7 minute walk to the tube and about a 5 minute walk to Kensington Gardens.
“Great value and location”
I stayed in the smallest room this hotel has - I guess because I was alone - but other than that, it was very adequate and clean, the bathroom was efficient and again, very clean. i enjoyed my stay and the desk people were very nice and polite, and helpful. I never could make my laptop wifi work from the room - and it is billed - but in the lobby there are two pcs for free use, and that's how I read my email daily. I would stay there again, it's a safe area and this hotel has a great heated pool and sauna ( I was there in the cold Fall)- very unusual at this price (and it was always empty!) very well maintained.
