Very convenient to Paddington station for underground and Heathrow Express. No elevator and no a/c but it was still cool enough to open the window for air. Friendly staff.

We arrived at the property and checked in to find the room very hot as on the 4th floor and no a/c. We opened the window and returned an hour or so later in hopes the room would have cooled. It did not but we did find the company of 2 dozen or so flies. We decided to check out after being on site for less than 2 hours. We’re still trying to get the hotel to understand charging us for the full stay is unacceptable when the need to move is based on the condition of their premises. Please be aware of the hotel ownership/management expectations that they are not responsible for their property or satisfaction of your stay.

It was clean and the staff were nice. Had a mix up with the room but it was instantly sorted. We were in the downstairs, so we could feel and hear the underground train every few minutes. Could only go to sleep after 12:30. Woken up early by the trains and guests going for breakfast by our room. Furnishings are old but adequate. The beds were comfy and the sheets clean.

Very tight quarters, building is basically a historical monument itself- everything outdated. The positives were- nice staff, great breakfast, & easily walkable to the underground & many stores/restaurants.

Comfortable and in a good location with loads of amenities and transportation options nearby. Furnishings are showing their age. Staff was excellent with the exception of one front desk person that checked us in.

Good option in Paddington
It’s definitely one of a good choice out of the surrounding areas. Staff are very nice and rooms are fairly quiet considering the area. Now there is a sound disturbance every time when the underground passes by, but that’s quite common in London if it’s running close. The room I’d say is quite normal UK house level, not like a shiny hotel but clean enough. Bathroom were very clean, although like many UK showers, very weak. Be careful if you have large luggage as there’s no lift and stairs are pretty steep and slanted. Very common in UK.
