"As others have said, it's not a five-star resort. We had misgivings when we arrived. But, we ended up liking the house better than a hotel. My friend and I stayed in the smaller two bedroom house. It was quite comfortable with air conditioning in both bedrooms, comfortable seating, and a well equipped kitchen. The property is private (but right off Rte 1) and the bird song was incredible. "We had a magical time here. A very short walk to the beach with an astounding view of the bay. The host and her assistant were so kind and very attentive. There are beach side restaurants 5 minutes away and it doesn't feel at all touristy. I strongly encourage anyone to check out this lovely guest house."

"We loved this house. It has a gorgeous view. We had access to a washer. There is a clothes line outside to dry the clothes. The clothes dried quickly as long as it didn’t rain. The air conditioning worked great upstairs. Like most Costa Rica rentals the air conditioning is just in the bedroom. Playa Conchal is our favorite beach. Not enough room to sleep 3 people comfortably, but perfect for a couple."

During a pandemic I thought cleanliness should be a given, but the interior of the property was dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned at all, despite the 'cleaning fee' that I paid. We had to clean the interior ourselves- kitchen, fridge, lightswitches, toilets, doors because they had dark handprints and fingerprints all over them. We were also terribly displeased with the neighborhood, which seemed like a slum since there were multiple...
