“Need a rental car, but a great hotel”
Great Hotel. Not close to all the beaches, but has everything else you would like in a low cost hotel. Great breakfast and all the staff was very helpful. I would stay again if I rented a car.
“Great One Night Stopover.”
Having spent a week 120 km South of Liberia and scheduled for a 7AM air departure from Liberia Airport, The Hilton Garden Inn was the perfect spot to check in early and get a very early shuttle to the airport (4:45 AM). The food and room service was outstanding. The room was very comfortable and the beds Great.

Shuttle to and from the airport every 15 minutes made an overnight stay there perfect.

If you need a hotel by the Liberia Costa Rica airport, look no further! This place is amazing. The place is immaculate, rooms are nice, beds and pillows comfortable and restaurant and bar very nice. The free shuttle to the aiport is a plus.

“Nice hotel near LIR airport”
The only hotel near the LIR airport. The rooms were clean and pretty comfortable, although the pillows were dreadful. The breakfast was excellent and cheaper that eating at the airport. Parking was ample and safe too.
“Convenient to Airport”
This is an excellent hotel to stay in next to the Liberia Airport. Convenient for coming and going to Costa Rica as most flights leave early and late at night. Staying here made our airport connections a breeze. The food was excellent. Multiple and fast shuttles to the airport. The staff is very professional and efficient. Check out was a breeze. Thank you!
“Relax in comfort before early AM flights from LIR”
very comfortable and pleasant place to stay for early morning departures from LIR ... I live just 35 minutes from the airport, but choose to stay here the night before so it's not a rush or stress to get to the airport and check in by 5 am... I stay here every time I have an early morning flight leaving Costa Rica.
“Would definitely return - lovely hotel.”
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. The pool is quite large and very clean (a tad cold but not a problem). The room was very well appointed and the bed very comfortable. The hotel staff were quite pleasant and accommodating. There is a great restaurant down the road which serves wonderful inexpensive local food. We did have lunch in the hotel which was good however pricey, but in keeping with what hotels usually charge. The hotel is very convenient if you are just arriving to Costa Rica as we were or if you are departing.
“Easy airport access, very nice accommodations.”
After backpacking through Costa and Nicaragua for 10 days I pre-booked this hotel knowing that I'd want a nice place to stay for my final night in Costa day before my flight. The hotel was definitely the nicest and most Western I stayed at in either countries, although I was slumming it in budget accommodations most of the way. Any of the porters outside the airport can call the hotel for you to let them know that you need a pick-up (they all seemed to have the hotel number programmed into their cell phones). The shuttle driver was incredibly nice, spoke good English. The English spoken by the reception staff was even better. Hotel looked like any Hilton that you'd see in the US. Very clean, upscale feeling, nice linens, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, coffee in-room, free wifi in the lobby and 3 computers free to use. Only complaints: Non smoking hotel (probably not an issues for most, was for me), the snack bar was INCREDIBLY expensive, aka $5 for a 1/2 cup individual ice cream. The restaurant was expensive as well, around $15-20 for an entree. Similar to prices in the US, however Costa isn't the US. Hotel is a good 5 miles from Liberia, so getting access to cheaper food requires good planning or plenty of free time. Also, they will put a hold on your credit card for "incidentals" which is pretty standard practice, however gal told me at check out that she had to charge a small amount to my card in order to release the hold which bugged me, just on principle.
