“Great stay!”
My husband and I have been coming to Lake Placid on a regular basis for the past 3 summers. We have both competed in Ironman Lake Placid and my son goes to the water ramps at the Olympic Training Center. We have stayed at numerous hotels and condos in Lake Placid. This was our first time staying at High Peaks and it was the best of all the places we have stayed out. The room was very comfortable. We loved the shower and the view of the lake from our small balcony. We went to the boat house and took out kyaks. The only disappointment was the restaurant. We heard good things about it but had a very mediocre dinner. Otherwise we loved the hotel!
“good times, great price”
Stayed there for three days, two nights. The room was great with a beautiful view. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was in a great location

“Excellent Stay, Beautiful Location”
Hotel was great. We stayed in the rooms right on Mirror Lake and it was a beautiful location. Loved the shower in the rooms, very luxurious. The location was a few steps away from the main restaurants and "downtown" lake placid so that was convenient for breakfast/dinner's etc. Everything was great.
“A wonderful stay!”
A wonderful stay! Spacious rooms with beautiful views.
“excellent choice in downtown LP”
The rooms, particularly baths, were lovely and very comfortable. Great location in middle of town.
“Super, Super Bowl Experience”
My heart was broken when the Hilton left town. We so enjoyed our vacations there! I was a bit leary when High Peaks took over hoping they wouldn't change things. Well....they did and it is fabulous!
“Surprisingly good”
Booked a room here the day before our arrival late the week of Lake Placis's Ironman event. Since rooms were scarce and rates high during this week, we looked closely at reviews and chose High Peaks based on the positive ratings and value. We were pleased to be offered an upgrade on arrival to room 703 on the waterfront, with a pretty view of Mirror Lake. The king bedroom (with pullout couch) was not large but handsomely appointed, with a very comfortable bed, and an excellent bathroom with huge shower and large bathtub w/jacuzzi. We had a dip in the pool right in front of our room and took a paddle on the Lake at sunset in one of the boats provided free to guests. This section of the hotel is in walking distance of everything and parking was right above the room. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area and appreciated the upgrade the busy but polite staff gave us.
“Very satisfied, would go back”
Got a very good rate on Expedia and was very satisfied with the hotel. I recommend it.
“Wonderful experience!”
The hotel was gorgeous with a wonderful downtown, close to everything location. We were able to walk right out the hotel to all the restaurants and shops. Room was gorgeous!! The bathroom was extremely spa-like and the room has pretty details, like crown-molding, speakers in the bathroom, etc. Will definitely recommend. Only downfall was the indoor pool area. We travelled over Thanksgiving weekend so this was our only option. Not what I would've expected from how nice the rooms/lobby were. Had to walk down a long hallway to get to, kind of creepy, not the "WOW" factor we got from the rest of the hotel. The hotel spa was top-notch!! Hotel restaurants was average, not great service. Recommend walking 1 minute to a nicer restaurant. Definitely recommend this hotel
