"Three night break on Lake Como"
We had trouble finding the hotel up the cobbled steps as there were so many small cobbled streets. Parking was very difficult as the streets are so narrow but once we found a space on the front by the ferry we paid to leave it there fir the two full days which was expensive. As my husband had had a triple heart bypass we didn't want to leave the car to far away for carrying bags. We had a room on the top floor with superb views across the lake, once the windows were closed we heard no sound from the hotels and restaurants below us. It was disappointing that the swimming facilities were so far from the hotel.

"Great value option in Bellagio"
Hotel staff was very welcoming and even had a happy hour that included drinks and some snacks that were simple yet tasty. Rooms are rustic but clean and comfortable. Hotel is located up the hill in Bellagio so you need to be sure you are able to walk up the hill (some shops and restaurants are up the hill as well so in some ways it is an advantage). Grocery store (mini market) was within two minutes walk. Kitchen was essentially a kitchenette (small) but functioned quite well. Center of Bellagio which has the ferry docks is about a 7 minute walk. Plenty of room to spread out - perfect for families. Air conditioning functioned quite well. No laundry facilities but there is a 24 hour laundromat in the center of Bellagio 7-10 minutes walk from the Bethusy apartment/hotel. For those coming to Bellagio from the south, taking the local train from Milan (Milano Centrale station) to Varenna-Essino (1 hour train ride), and then taking ferry from Varenna over to Bellagio (15 minutes) is a better option than taking the train to the town of Como and then taking a ferry from Como to Bellagio as the Como-to-Bellagio ferry does not run more than every few hours and can take up to 2 hours to get to Bellagio. Just make sure that you purchase your return tickets from Varenna to Milan ahead of time as the Varenna-Essino train station does not have a ticket window (you can also buy them at any tobacco shop, which there are many). Would definitely stay here again.

"Living like locals!"
We are two females in our mid twenties who stayed for 4 nights. We loved our stay here, it was like a home away from home. Emilia and Roberto were lovely and very generous, they even drove us to the airport at 4am! The flat was clean and a good size, and is a 20min slow walk to the centre of Bellagio (welcome exercise after all that gelato!). There is a very nice sport complex with pool, sunbeds, bar and tennis 10min walk away which we would recommend and Supermarket 3min walk away. Would definitely stay again. Diolch Emilia!

"Great place to stay"
Hotel du Lac is a great place to stay in Bellagio! We were 2 couples staying here for 2 nights in July 2014. The hotel is located steps from the ferry. Our rooms were a good size and the balconies off of the room offered a magnificent view of the stairway up town and from below Como lake. It rained a bit while we were here and we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant the first night. The service was very good and the food was as well. We were glad that this hotel had the best outside radiant heaters which made the outside bistro fill cozy even in the rain. The views are amazing in Bellagio and we thoroughly enjoyed this hotel.

"So amazing, a slice of Italian heaven!"
Hidden in a true Italian mountain village, is this gem with the most outstanding views. You can't help but to sit every minute on your balcony, soaking in the view from sunrise to well into the middle of the night. With a lovely shop 10mins up the road to get fresh bread and pastries in the morning and a great 'locals' Pizzeria, I had found the perfect Italian getaway for my family. The pool was a reasonable size and again swimming with the beautiful surroundings, you struggled to pull yourself away to visit other areas. We were lucky to experience both types of apartments and they were equally perfect for anyone’s needs, there was nothing needed and all the utensils in the cupboards to cook your favourite dishes too. Sarah was so friendly and even though there was a freak, once in a life time, incident, it was dealt with so efficiently by both the owners of the property and the local services, everything was back to normal within hrs of daybreak and on a Sunday too! A must is to hire a boat, save your pennies and even if for a couple of hours it is a fab experience, head south where the water is so warm and the towns and houses are extraordinary. Recommend 'Boat Hire' in Dongo. If I was to throw a negative in it would be the restaurants around the area we went to, all had the same menus and I didn't get to introduce my husband and daughter to quiet the food heaven I have experienced on my other travels to Italy. This is not to say what we did eat wasn't great.

"Very nice Italian villa."
This is one of the best B&B we stayed so far. Marco and his wife are very nice hosts. Breakfast was very good and the room was very clean. From the terrace, while you drink your morning coffee, you can have a magnificent view of the lake. Their garden is a little paradise. We will definitely go back in the spring as Marco suggested and we strongly recommend their villa. Emanuel and Carmen from Canada.
