    Aruba Hotel Guide

Aruba is a small island located just off the northern tip of South America and is a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Residents of Aruba are considered Dutch, and the official language of the country is Dutch as well. Unlike other islands in the Caribbean Sea, Aruba maintains a hot and dry climate with cacti being a mainstay of the island's plant life. Visitors staying at hotels in Aruba often take pictures of cacti on the beaches.

Widely known for its white-sandy beaches, Aruba also offers fantastic hotel rooms at great prices. Guests at Aruba hotels enjoy some of the best unobstructed ocean views available in the Caribbean. The island is home to the indigenous Aruba Island Rattlesnake, which is the island's top predator of small mammals, but it rarely bothers humans.

The island was settled by Spanish explorers in the early 1500s, followed by the Dutch in the 1600s. Today, the island offers a mixed culture of European and Caribbean tradition. The cheap hotel deals in Aruba offer visitors a chance to explore these traditions in the form of cuisine, music, and language.

The ornate buildings of Oranjestad offer travellers a glimpse at the island's European history and invoke a relaxing and inviting spirit with their brightly coloured fronts. Tourism comprises 75 percent of Aruba's economy, and guests from all over the world are made to feel welcome beginning with their first step off the plane.

The climate in Aruba is consistently warm and sunny. The island lies outside of the typical path of hurricanes, so visitors enjoying Aruba hotel packages can plan a trip for any time of the year without worry of inclement weather. The most popular time to visit Aruba is from December through March, so place reservations well in advance to secure the best accommodations.

Most Aruba hotel deals include easy access to the beaches. There are no large cities in Aruba, as its capital city of Oranjestad has just 33,000 permanent residents. To find discount rates for hotels here, travellers should use Expedia a few months in advance of their adventure.

Special events that travellers to Aruba flock to see include Sinterklaas on December 5 and 6, Dia di La Reina on April 30 and Carnival, which takes place for weeks each year before Ash Wednesday. Visitors can book a cheap Aruba hotel deal to enjoy these island-wide celebrations.

"A Hotel a cut above the others"
Renaissance is apart from all the others by being downtown which would appear to be a disadvantage as there is no beach. However it becomes abundantly clear that the private island not only compensates for this but because of the limited access provides space and privacy unobtainable on Palm Beach. The boat ride was short and a great experience literaly transporting us to a haven of peace with Flamingos and Iguana. The seperation of families and adults both on the beach and in the Hotels made for a relaxing experience twenty four hours a day. The staff are friendlly and ever willing to please. Finally the all you can eat seafood buffet is exceptional value and quality. All in all uparalled for a seaside vacation.

Upon arrival it rained in Aruba. Our room was flooded. The staff responded with a smile and very helpful with our new room. After dinner we returned to a bottle of chilled wine, soft drinks and 2 T-shirts. We enjoyed our stay and will return to the Divi Dutch for our next vaction in Aruba. Highly recommend the resort and praise for the staff.

    "Great location and great staff!"
We met family in Aruba and we all made reservations at this resort. It was very good for us because we had small children and the suites were very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and treated us like family! We really enjoyed the food their restaurant offered and their wait staff was excellent! The pool and jacuzzi facilities were beautiful and very clean. There were plenty of daily activities to keep all of the guests busy and their activities director did a great job! The resort seemed to be centrally located and we never had a problem getting anywhere. We would definitely consider returning to this resort the next time we visit Aruba!

    "Perfection in Paradise"
We rented a 3 bedroom condo at Tierra del Sol. Our party included my DH, MIL, two teens, and a tween. Condo had everything we needed including maid service! We loved the pool which had a view of the ocean. Had a massage at the spa and the teens had a facial. Services were great and reasonably priced. Did not golf. The resort was within easy driving distance of the high rise condos (Eagle and Palm beaches). Plenty of dining close by. Went to Arashi beach where the resort supplies beach chairs. Enjoyed snorkeling at Malmok and Baby beaches. First time trip to Aruba was very enjoyable. It is very windy there. Also bring lots of sunscreen! We had to purchase some on the island and it was expensive. Recommend eating at Le Petit Cafe, Casa Tua Pizza and A Taste of Belgium. We used Vela Sports to take wind surfing lessons. Great lesson and staff.
